Industry Leaders Welcome the Transition
Guy Henderson, President, International, Sony Music Publishing, commented:
“I am so pleased that Ros will take over the reins as President for SMP Asia, which is one of our most important and continuously expanding international regions. With Ros’s success in artist development and creative strategy, along with her two decades of experience, she brings a fresh focus to further grow our business across the region.”
Reflecting on her upcoming retirement, Carol Ng said:
“Throughout all these years, my team and I have built strong synergies and established SMP as the leading music publisher in Asia. It has been a difficult decision to retire, but there is a time for everything. I look forward to spending more time with my family and gradually settling in the U.K.”
Ng joined SMP in 1998 as Finance and Admin Manager, later becoming CFO, Regional MD, and ultimately President, Asia in 2021. Under her leadership, SMP expanded into Jakarta (2021), Bangkok (2025), and Manila (2026), cementing its dominant presence across Asia.
With Pineda now at the helm, SMP Asia is poised to enter its next chapter of innovation, growth, and creative excellence.
