Not every Halloween getaway needs a haunted house—and not every escape requires a long drive. Whether you want to scream your way through a horror attraction, unwind at a secluded resort, enjoy a romantic staycation, or dance the night away at a Halloween party, destinations near Metro Manila offer plenty of ways to make the season memorable.
With Halloween falling on Saturday, October 31, 2026, and All Saints’ Day on Sunday, November 1, travelers can plan a weekend escape around the holiday. All Souls’ Day falls on Monday, November 2. Since this period coincides with the Undas observance, expect possible traffic and increased demand for accommodations.
Here are five destinations to consider for your Halloween plans.
1. Nightmares Manila, Parañaque
THE EXPERIENCE: Horror and Halloween thrills
For those who prefer their Halloween with a healthy dose of fear, horror-themed attractions offer an alternative to the usual costume party. Nightmares Manila is worth checking out for a potentially spine-chilling outing with friends or a date.
BEST FOR: Horror fans, adventurous couples, and barkada groups.
BEFORE YOU GO: Confirm the attraction’s current operating schedule, available experiences, admission fees, and booking requirements.
2. Anya Resort Tagaytay
THE EXPERIENCE: A peaceful luxury retreat
Trade crowded streets for cool-weather relaxation at Anya Resort Tagaytay. With its garden surroundings and resort atmosphere, it offers a more tranquil way to spend the Halloween weekend, whether you want to unwind, enjoy a leisurely meal, or take a break from city life.
BEST FOR: Couples, families, and travelers seeking a relaxing staycation.
BEFORE YOU GO: Check room availability, current rates, dining options, and any minimum-stay requirements.
3. Gratchi’s Getaway, Silang, Cavite
THE EXPERIENCE: Nature and group bonding
If your ideal holiday involves greenery, outdoor spaces, and quality time with your favorite people, Gratchi’s Getaway in Silang, Cavite, is another option to explore. A resort stay can provide a change of scenery without requiring an extended trip.
BEST FOR: Barkada groups, families, and nature lovers.
BEFORE YOU GO: Confirm available accommodations, facilities, activities, and whether advance reservations are required.
4. Escala Tagaytay
THE EXPERIENCE: A scenic and romantic staycation
For a Halloween weekend that prioritizes views over scares, Escala Tagaytay offers a staycation setting overlooking Taal Lake. It may appeal to couples and travelers looking for a relaxing overnight escape, scenic photographs, and time away from the city.

Make the Most of the Halloween Weekend
A memorable Halloween escape does not have to involve an expensive trip or a packed itinerary. A day trip, an overnight resort stay, or an evening at a themed event can be enough to make the long weekend special.
Before booking, compare rates, review cancellation policies, confirm schedules, and allow extra travel time. With the Undas period running from October 31 through November 2, popular destinations and major roads may experience heavier traffic.
Whether you are chasing thrills, seeking a romantic retreat, or planning a weekend with friends, the best Halloween getaway is the one that fits your budget, interests, and travel plans.
