Following the announcement of his upcoming album Dream Fatigue, arriving November 6, multi-platinum artist Rex Orange County shares the third single from the forthcoming project, “Hannah Montana.” Fans can stream the new single HERE and pre-save the album HERE.

“Hannah Montana” sees the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist teaming up with Swedish composer and producer Simon Hessman (Yung Lean, 21 Savage). The single arrives with an official music video directed by Rhys Scarabosio, capturing Rex finding peace among the horses and wilderness of Montana. Complementing the song’s lyrics, the visuals reflect feelings of longing and the lingering weight of a relationship left unresolved.
Dream Fatigue will also feature the previously released tracks “Grandma Song” and “Indecision”, featuring Daniel Caesar. Co-executive produced by Mustafa and Dylan Wiggins (Rosalía, Justin Bieber), the album features contributions from Turnstile’s Brendan Yates, Dev Hynes, Daniel Caesar, Mustafa, dexter in the newsagent, and Taylor Skye of Jockstrap.
Moving beyond autobiography, the album follows a protagonist who adopts different personas in an attempt to win over the girl he loves. This concept is reflected in playful song titles such as “Hannah Montana,” “Iron Man,” and “Elvis,” ultimately inspiring the album’s title.
“This guy is tired of dreaming and becoming all these people in the pursuit of that dream,” Rex explains.
The project also marks a shift away from the reclusive approach the British artist has historically taken when creating his albums, highlighting how his songwriting flourishes through collaboration and community. “To let people in is to let them take the thing out of you as well,” he says, reflecting on how working with others has only strengthened his sound.
That sense of community has been on full display in recent weeks. Rex and Brendan Yates debuted the album track “Elvis” during an intimate underplay performance at London’s Village Underground, shortly before All Points East in late August. At the festival, Rex brought out Ravyn Lenae to perform the remix of her hit “Love Me Not” before joining Tyler, The Creator onstage the following night for “Boredom,” from the album Flower Boy. Days later, Daniel Caesar invited Rex to join him at his sold-out O2 Arena show to perform “Indecision”, which was released in August as the first preview of Dream Fatigue.
Over the summer, Rex launched a series of intimate house shows for fans across the UK, Ireland, and Southeast Asia. The performances gave fans a rare opportunity to curate their own setlists from nearly a decade of his music while offering an early glimpse of what is to come.
In Southeast Asia, the shows quickly went viral, generating a wave of fan excitement and social media buzz across the region. Stops included Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Manila, and Jakarta, alongside headline performances at LaLaLa Festival in Manila and Jakarta.
Across a career spanning multiple acclaimed albums, global tours, and a devoted international fan base, Rex has built a reputation for creating music that feels deeply personal yet universally relatable. That connection is particularly strong in Southeast Asia, where Indonesia ranks as his No. 2 global market, the Philippines No. 3, and Malaysia No. 4. Singapore and Thailand also rank among his top streaming cities worldwide.
With Dream Fatigue, Rex brings these experiences into sharper focus, delivering a record that strips away the noise and puts his songwriting front and center.
