As part of its ongoing mission to uplift Filipino women, Grab Philippines successfully concluded its month-long Misiskolar: Siskarte ni Kumare campaign — a women-focused empowerment program designed to equip wives of driver-partners and female drivers with the skills and tools needed to thrive in the digital economy.

The culmination event, held at SMX Convention Center Aura, brought together women from the Grab and MOVE IT communities for a day filled with learning, inspiration, and celebration. The event featured a power-packed lineup of expert-led sessions aimed at helping homemakers turn passion projects into sustainable businesses. Participants also received access to TESDA-accredited skills training with free registration — giving them nationally recognized credentials to jumpstart or expand their livelihood journey.
Empowering Talks, Real-Life Inspiration

Headlining the event was actress and advocate Jolina Magdangal, a long-time supporter of working moms and homemakers. She led “Diskarte Talks,” a candid and heartfelt discussion on the realities of motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurial grit — reinforcing the vital yet often unseen economic role women play within their homes.
Ahead of the main event, Grab also teamed up with actress and wellness advocate Maxene Magalona to lead a special yoga and meditation session for female driver-partners. The session focused on mental wellness, self-care, and self-love, highlighting the importance of holistic empowerment.
Celebrating the Grit Behind the Wheel
Grab Philippines Country Head Ronald Roda shared:
“Behind every ride and delivery is often a woman quietly holding the family together — not just as a homemaker, but as a dreamer, a doer, and a force of resilience. Through Misiskolar, we honor the strength and diskarte of the women behind the wheel and behind the scenes. These women are reshaping what it means to be a contributor to the economy in the digital age. At Grab, we are proud to be a platform where their diskarte transforms into dignity, income, and impact.”
From Home to Hustle: Real Stories of Impact
The Misiskolar program continues to make a difference in the lives of countless women. Among them is Erlita Lebosada, a GrabCar driver-partner and proud mom who turned her personal journey into a thriving business: YLE’S CAR & HOME ESSENTIALS.
“Dati, akala ko hanggang bahay lang ang kaya ko. Pero dahil sa MISISKOLAR, natutunan kong may kakayahan din akong magpatakbo ng negosyo,” shared Lebosada.
“Ang next goal ko ay palakihin pa ang negosyo para sa pamilya ko, at makapagbigay ng kabuhayan sa iba. Kayang-kaya nating maging negosyante basta may diskarte at lakas ng loob.”
Continuing the Movement
Misiskolar remains a testament to Grab’s long-term commitment to women’s economic empowerment, providing meaningful support to help homemakers build additional income streams and unlock their full potential.
This is more than just a campaign — it’s a movement. One where every misis can turn her diskarte into opportunity.
