iWant puts rising star and PBB Celebrity Collab Edition housemate Emilio Daez in the spotlight as he headlines “Love at First Spike” — an eight-episode coming-of-age sports rom-dramedy that explores identity, acceptance, and second chances. The series streams exclusively on iWant starting June 20 at 8 PM (PHT).
This marks Emilio’s first major acting role after capturing viewers’ hearts with his authenticity and charm inside the Pinoy Big Brother house. In the series, he plays Uno, a basketball varsity captain who loses his scholarship after a violent altercation. In a desperate move to stay in school, he joins the only team willing to take him in — the all-LGBTQIA+ boys’ volleyball team.

Joining Emilio are Sean Tristan (Beach Bros) as Jared, Uno’s estranged childhood best friend who is now openly gay, and Reign Parani (PBB Otso) as Farrah, Jared’s cousin and the girls’ volleyball captain who secretly harbors feelings for Uno. As the volleyball season heats up, so do their emotions — unraveling a tangled mix of unresolved pasts, friendship, heartbreak, and unexpected romance.
Directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal, “Love at First Spike” boldly tackles the pressure of masculinity in sports, the spectrum of gender identity, and the emotional highs and lows of teenage life.
