Dealer growth, nationwide service access, charging infrastructure, and resale guarantees defined VinFast’s 2025 push, as the brand focused on laying the foundation of an EV ecosystem to reduce hesitation and building confidence among Filipino buyers.

For VinFast, 2025 marked its first full year of operations in the Philippines—and it was anything but tentative. From the outset, the company approached the market with urgency, guided by a core belief: EV adoption accelerates when hesitation is addressed early. Rather than waiting for demand to mature organically, VinFast moved decisively to remove the barriers that typically slow first-time electric vehicle buyers.
Dealer expansion progressed in tandem with aftersales planning. Charging infrastructure rolled out alongside financing programs and ownership guarantees. Products, partnerships, and policy moved forward as a single system—an ecosystem designed to make EV ownership practical, accessible, and reassuring from day one.
“We are still in the early stages of setting up operations in the Philippines,” said Antonio “Toti” Zara, CEO of VinFast Southeast Asia, during a media briefing earlier this year. “Right now, we’re building the organization, the dealer network, and the ecosystem. Our focus is translating that ecosystem into tangible benefits for Filipino consumers.”
As the year unfolded, those benefits became increasingly visible—not only on the road, but also in how local media and industry observers began to describe the brand.
Products Designed for Everyday Use
VinFast’s Philippine lineup reflected a clear understanding of local driving realities. By introducing nearly its full model range early on, the brand covered a broad spectrum of use cases from the start.
The VF 3 and VF 5 addressed urban density, tight parking, and short daily commutes. The VF 6 and VF 7 expanded the offering to families and professionals seeking comfort, space, and longer-range capability. At the top sits the VF 9, the flagship SUV showcasing VinFast’s most advanced features and premium design.
Despite being a young brand, observers began noting a distinct consistency across the lineup.
“From the exterior to the interior, VinFast has its own design language—it doesn’t feel copied,” shared one media member after driving multiple VinFast models in both the Philippines and Vietnam. “Even when you ride in them as Green GSM taxis, the cars always feel solid. That consistency builds confidence, especially for a young brand.”
That perception was reinforced in October, when Philippine media visited VinFast’s facilities in Vietnam. Coverage following the trip highlighted a marked improvement in vehicle quality.
“One of the first things I noticed was how dramatically the quality has improved,” wrote one outlet after testing the VF 3, VF 6, and VF 9. “The hollow-feeling interiors and obvious panel gaps are gone.”
Among the models, the VF 6 stood out in particular. Media described it as a crossover with “the right ride height” and an interior that strikes a balance between affordability and premium feel—a notable assessment given that the VF 6 was launched locally only in April.

After-Sales Coverage That Brings Service Closer
Service accessibility remains a practical concern for Filipino EV buyers, and VinFast moved early to address it. Instead of relying solely on dealerships, the company partnered with established automotive service networks throughout 2025, including Motech, JIGA, Goodyear Philippines, Tire King, Power Tread, and Marcjan Cavite.
The objective was scale and proximity. By accrediting these partners to perform preventive maintenance, warranty repairs, diagnostics, and software updates, VinFast expanded its authorized service footprint to more than 100 locations nationwide.
Johann Rommel Naguiat, President and CEO of Motech Automotive Philippines, described the partnership as the “first of its kind,” positioning it as an “anywhere, anytime” solution. “With Motech’s network and strong community presence, VinFast customers can drive with confidence knowing their vehicle will be well cared for—wherever they are,” he said.
Ownership concerns were further addressed through the launch of VinFast’s Residual Value Guarantee program. Introduced this year, the policy guarantees up to 90 percent of a vehicle’s original value after six months, followed by a fixed depreciation schedule over three years.
In a market where resale value is often considered even before purchase, the program shifted the conversation.
“With a residual value guarantee of up to 90 percent of the vehicle’s list price, VinFast aims to make EV ownership more accessible and reassuring for Filipino consumers,” Zara explained at the program’s launch.
Local media described the move as unusually assertive, noting that it directly addresses long-standing concerns around resale confidence and used-EV friction—areas few brands in the Philippine market, particularly within the EV segment, have tackled as comprehensively.
Making the Ecosystem Visible
VinFast’s ecosystem became most visible to the public with the launch of Green GSM in June. Operating across Metro Manila, the country’s first all-electric taxi fleet exclusively uses VinFast vehicles designed for commercial operation, introducing EVs to commuters through daily, real-world use.
Each ride demonstrated practical advantages—quiet cabins, smooth acceleration, predictable fares, and zero tailpipe emissions. For many passengers, it was their first experience inside an electric vehicle.
“The Philippines marks a strategic chapter in our Go Green Global journey,” said Nguyễn Văn Thanh, Global CEO of GSM. “Our goal is to ignite real transformation—moving from traditional mobility to an electric future that is cleaner, smarter, and more socially responsible.”
Charging infrastructure expanded alongside fleet deployment. VinFast continues to support customers through a free charging program at its dedicated charging station network, valid until May 1, 2027, effectively offering zero fuel cost benefits. The network is operated by V-GREEN, a charging infrastructure company founded by the same founder as VinFast and Green GSM.
This synchronized approach—vehicles, charging, fleets, and financing moving together—has been central to VinFast’s growth in other markets and is now taking clear shape in the Philippines.
Building Trust Through Participation
By mid-2025, VinFast Philippines formally joined the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI), securing a voice within the country’s core automotive industry body.
“This milestone marks a significant step forward in our commitment to shaping the future of mobility in the Philippines,” Zara said.
Beyond industry participation, the brand deepened community engagement through the nationwide design voting initiative “Pilipinas – Your Vote, Your Design for the Future Filipino Drive.” Held from October 24 to November 7, the program drew over 20,000 votes, thousands of participants, and more than 100 design submissions from across the country—reinforcing VinFast’s effort to build familiarity and trust through inclusion.
Following the October earthquake in Cebu, VinFast and Green GSM also provided direct financial assistance and on-ground support, further positioning the brand as a long-term participant rather than a short-term entrant.
Later in the year, VinFast Philippines received the Legacy Award for Excellence in Strategic Mobility Innovation, recognizing its integrated work across products, infrastructure, and community engagement.
“VinFast Philippines has made a significant mark on the journey toward sustainable mobility in our country,” said Director Wilfredo Jordan Lemque Jr., Chairman of the organizing committee. “More than an EV company, VinFast is building a people-centered smart transportation ecosystem with strong commitments to the environment, education, and community development.”
Momentum Into 2026
VinFast closes 2025 with vehicles on the road, nationwide service coverage expanding, charging infrastructure scaling, and ownership risk materially reduced.
Media sentiment has shifted accordingly. Early skepticism has given way to more detailed evaluations of execution, product maturity, and ecosystem depth. CleanTechnica described VinFast’s facilities as having evolved from symbols of ambition into “proof of capability.”
As the Philippine EV market approaches its next phase of adoption, VinFast enters 2026 with momentum shaped by execution—and with the foundational pieces already in place.
“We’re rewriting the rules in aftersales, service accessibility, and value guarantees,” Zara said during the October media event. “Our task is to make EV ownership an easier decision for Filipino consumers.”
