The Sound of Resistance Morobeats x Intolerant Join Forces

THE RENOWNED HIP-HOP COLLECTIVE MOROBEATS AND SEMINAL PINOY METAL BAND TEAM-UP FOR THE YEAR’S MOST FIERY COLLAB AND MV FOR MAGNA

The fight is never over—and throughout history, music has always been a powerful vehicle for change, a way to call out injustice and amplify voices that demand to be heard. Across genres, backgrounds, and sounds, artists have found ways to collide creatively, forging collaborations that leave a lasting impact.

Enter “MAGNA”—the ultimate anthem for the year. This track is a relentless fusion of thundering hip-hop beats, unfiltered lyrical fire, and brutal modern metal grooves, complete with razor-sharp riffs and double-bass drums. It’s raw, explosive, and uncompromising—the kind of sonic assault only MOROBEATS and INTOLERANT could deliver. Produced by DJ Medmessiah, guitarist Joey Dizon, and drummer Pepo Gohu, the track is a direct commentary on current events in the Philippines, carrying a potent message for both the people and those in power.

“We originally released a hip-hop version of ‘MAGNA’ and shot a video at the Trillion Peso March, where I ran into Pepo,” recalls DJ Medmessiah. “But I knew we could take it further—more grit, more intensity—so I brought in Pepo and Intolerant to push the song into a live-instrument, aggressive version that hits harder and makes the message unmistakable.”

The track is a full-on showcase of the Morobeats collective, featuring Dizzy D., Naus, Buencamino, Prophecee, Malik, Teemo, Tofu, Miss A, and DJ Medmessiah, with additional scratching and sampling from DJ Wizard and a thunderous low end courtesy of Intolerant bassist Mic Gallegos.

Accompanying the release is a guerrilla-style music video shot on the streets of Raon in Quiapo, Manila. Passersby paused to witness the performance, creating an electrifying, spontaneous energy that mirrors the song’s rebellious spirit. The video was directed by Medmessiah alongside Yans Torres, Carl Miranda, and photographer Patrick Briones—a raw visual testament to the track’s impact.

“It felt right to collaborate, especially since Intolerant had been inactive for the past decade,” says Gohu. “It was challenging but rewarding, and we’re excited to evolve this into a live set soon.”

“MAGNA” is not for the timid—it’s a call to stand, listen, and feel the power of music as resistance. Stream it now and witness the collision of hip-hop and metal like never before.
