A new social enterprise designed to empower Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through sustainable livelihood opportunities has officially launched in Quezon City. Push Laundry, an inclusive laundry business, was established through a collaborative effort among the House with No Steps Foundation (HWNSF), ELS, BigZe Corporation, and LG Electronics Philippines.

The initiative builds on earlier efforts to expand inclusive employment pathways and now formally establishes Push Laundry as a fully operational livelihood project that directly supports the employment and development of PWDs.

By combining a viable commercial enterprise with a strong social mission, the project demonstrates how inclusive business models can create meaningful economic opportunities while delivering tangible community impact. Earnings from the laundry service will help fund training, employment, and development programs for PWD beneficiaries.

“LG Electronics Philippines is proud to support initiatives that create meaningful livelihood opportunities for the PWD community,” said Nakhyun Seung, Managing Director of LG Electronics Philippines. “Through our LG Commercial Laundry solutions, we can contribute to a business model that promotes inclusivity while ensuring reliable and efficient daily operations.”

A Collaborative Effort for Inclusive Livelihood

Push Laundry represents a shared commitment among partner organizations to build a sustainable and inclusive enterprise:

  • House with No Steps Foundation (HWNSF) – championing advocacy and support for persons with disabilities
  • ELS – providing business structure and partnership direction
  • BigZe Corporation – overseeing daily operations and service delivery
  • LG Electronics Philippines – supplying commercial laundry solutions to power efficient operations

As part of the project, one of HWNSF’s buildings in Cubao, Quezon City was renovated and transformed into a commercial laundry facility. The space now serves as the home of Push Laundry, offering PWDs the opportunity to actively participate in the workforce within their own community.

While HWNSF leads the initiative, BigZe Corporation contributes operational expertise in managing laundry services, ensuring that the enterprise runs smoothly while also creating meaningful employment for PWD beneficiaries.

Creating Sustainable Opportunities

More than just a laundry shop, Push Laundry is structured as a long-term livelihood program designed to support the foundation’s mission. Profits and proceeds from the business will directly contribute to:

  • Employment opportunities for PWDs
  • Skills training and livelihood development programs
  • The continued operational sustainability of the initiative

Through this integrated approach, the partners aim to demonstrate how socially driven enterprises can be both impactful and economically sustainable.

A Model for Future Inclusive Enterprises

Beyond its immediate community impact, Push Laundry is envisioned as a replicable model for inclusive entrepreneurship. By combining commercial laundry services with a social mission, the project serves as a blueprint that other dealers and sub-dealers may adopt in their own communities.

The launch marks a significant milestone in the collaboration among the partner organizations, reinforcing their shared vision of creating accessible opportunities for persons with disabilities.

With LG Commercial Laundry solutions powering the facility, the enterprise is equipped with versatile and user-friendly technology designed to support efficient and seamless operations—even for PWD staff. This integration ensures that Push Laundry can deliver reliable service while fulfilling its mission of empowering individuals through meaningful work.
