Thai singer-songwriter James Alyn, formerly one-half of HYBS, joins forces with London-based pop band PREP for their heartfelt new single, “Don’t Worry.” The collaboration marries PREP’s smooth fusion of soft pop, funk, and soul with James’ warm, emotive vocals, resulting in a sound that feels both intimate and timeless—a musical embrace for anyone in need of comfort and hope.

The song was inspired by a moving encounter with a fan. “She told me my songs helped her through her darkest times,” James shares. “I wrote this track hoping it could be a beacon of light for others who need it. Just like the line, ‘Even in another life, you can find me by your side,’ I’ll always be there for my fans, through thick and thin.”

Blending soothing vocals, lush synths, and PREP’s signature groove, “Don’t Worry” encourages listeners to hold on to faith and optimism even in challenging moments.

James recalls the song’s serendipitous beginnings: “It was the night I opened for PREP in Taipei. After the show, we went to Kuo from Sunset Rollercoaster’s house and jammed casually. We didn’t expect anything to come of it, but a year later, I found a voice memo from that night and built the rest of the song from it.”

Since his days as lead vocalist of the internationally acclaimed duo HYBS, James Alyn has embarked on a dynamic solo journey, exploring a wide range of musical styles. His repertoire now includes beloved HYBS classics alongside innovative new material, establishing him as a trendsetter in the music scene.

On stage, James captivates audiences with electrifying performances, backed by his longtime band of over a decade. Together, they deliver immersive, unforgettable live experiences that leave fans fully enthralled from start to finish.
