Formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement signed on March 5, 2026, and led by Benjamin Magalong, the initiative opens doors for qualified seniors and PWDs to join participating stores across Baguio City—creating more pathways for meaningful and dignified work.

Expanding Roles, Empowering Communities

Under the program, employees are assigned as Customer Relations Staff, supporting day-to-day store operations such as order presentation, beverage service, table management, and guest interaction. The initiative spans 12 stores across well-known brands including Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, and Burger King.

A Growing Nationwide Movement

Since launching in 2019, the program has already created employment opportunities for over 1,000 senior citizens and PWDs nationwide. Its expansion reflects strong collaboration with local government units across key cities, including Manila, Quezon City, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro, among others.

After a temporary pause during the pandemic, the initiative resumed in 2023 and has since regained momentum—with 451 hires recorded in 2025 alone. The addition of Baguio City marks another step forward in scaling inclusive employment across the country.

Growing impact nationwide: Since launching in 2019, the Jollibee Group’s inclusive employment initiative has provided job opportunities to more than 1,000 senior citizens and persons with disabilities across the Philippines, including 451 hires in 2025 alone, demonstrating how partnerships with local governments can expand access to dignified work while strengthening restaurant teams and communities.

Driving Purpose Through “Joy for Tomorrow”

The initiative is part of the Jollibee Group’s “Joy for Tomorrow” sustainability agenda, particularly its People Pillar, which focuses on building inclusive, diverse, and empowered communities.

Joseph Tanbuntiong, CEO of Jollibee Group Philippines and Global Head of the Jollibee Brand, emphasized that inclusive growth is central to the company’s mission—creating opportunities not just for business expansion, but for community participation and empowerment.

Similarly, Ruth Angeles, Chief Human Resources Officer of Jollibee Group Philippines, highlighted that inclusion goes beyond hiring—it’s about enabling individuals to work with dignity, independence, and purpose while contributing meaningfully to the workplace.

Creating Lasting Social Impact

With over 1,000 individuals already employed through the program, the Jollibee Group continues to demonstrate how inclusive hiring can drive real social impact. By extending opportunities to underserved sectors and partnering with local governments, the company is helping build stronger communities—where more people are given the chance to stay active, valued, and engaged.

As the initiative expands to cities like Baguio, it reinforces a powerful message: when businesses prioritize inclusion, growth becomes more meaningful—not just for companies, but for the communities they serve.
