Salesforce Unveils Slack Code for Multiplayer AI Development

New project-based code channels bring teams and AI agents into a dedicated space with context to write, review, and ship code with context

Salesforce recently announced Slack Code and dedicated code channels, a new collaborative environment designed to transform AI-powered software development into a more connected, multiplayer experience.

Available across all Slack plans, Slack Code enables cross-functional teams to work directly with leading AI coding agents—including Anthropic’s Claude Code, Cognition’s Devin, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and Vercel agents—within a shared, centralized space instead of working across isolated browser tabs and individual development environments.

Inside each code channel, work is organized across dedicated tabs: one for the team conversation, another for the AI agent’s action plan, a third displaying line-by-line code diffs, and a fourth providing a live preview of the running output. This allows team members to watch an AI agent build and iterate in real time rather than simply reviewing its work after the fact.

By bringing code generation, inline diff reviews, and live previews directly into Slack, teams can move software projects from initial concept through development and toward production without constantly switching between separate developer tools.

Slack Code and code channels are available today across all Slack plans. Integration with partner AI agents requires separate access to those services.
