Following the release of her vibrant summer anthem “Running Home,” Vietnamese-Canadian pop singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jade LeMac returns with her deeply emotional new track, “Sleeping with the Lights On.” The song marks the third single from her upcoming EP, It’s Always At Night, set for release on November 7 via Warner Music Canada / East West Records. Fans can stream the track now and pre-order the EP to experience Jade’s most personal project to date.

A Vulnerable Anthem of Heartbreak

Tender yet powerful, “Sleeping with the Lights On” finds Jade at her most exposed—both lyrically and vocally. “How the hell are you so fine, while I’m out here losing my mind?” she sings, unraveling the lingering ache of heartbreak with unfiltered honesty.

The track, which Jade first previewed on tour, has already struck a chord with fans. It also featured prominently in her recent Audiotree Live Session, alongside other standout songs like “Constellations” and “Running Home.”

‘Sleeping with the Lights On’ is another one of my favorites,” Jade shares. “It’s a heartbreak song, and one of the first songs where I really discovered my sound as a writer and guitarist.

Finding Strength in Vulnerability

Jade LeMac’s signature storytelling continues to shine through her upcoming EP, It’s Always At Night. Built around her expressive guitar work and brought to life with producer JVP (Mother Mother, Simple Plan), the project blends raw emotion with expansive pop textures.

One of the EP’s most touching details is a vocal choir made up of Jade’s friends and family, an intimate layer that adds warmth and authenticity to her sound. It’s a personal touch that mirrors the spirit of the EP—human, honest, and deeply connected.

‘It’s Always At Night’ is a story about someone who’s in love with love,” Jade explains. “There are songs for every emotion—heartbreak, desire, love, and lust. Each track tells a story about the different ways I’ve experienced being in love with someone.

Rising Star on the Global Stage

This year has been a breakout one for Jade. She’s graced the stages of Osheaga and Lollapalooza, even joining ROLE MODEL during his Lollapalooza afterparty. Recently, she opened for GRAMMY® Award-winner Maren Morris on the Dreamsicle Tour and announced her first Canadian headline tour, solidifying her spot among pop’s most promising young voices.

Lauded by LA Weekly, OnesToWatch, Rolling Stone, and Wonderland Magazine, Jade was also nominated by GLAAD for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist—a powerful recognition of her impact as an openly queer artist reshaping modern pop.

With over 450 million global streams and 1.6 million TikTok followers, Jade’s influence continues to soar, particularly across Southeast Asia—where her top fan base includes the Philippines (#1), Thailand (#3), Indonesia (#6), and Vietnam (#8).

By embracing her identity as a Queer Vietnamese Canadian, Jade LeMac is more than just a rising pop star—she’s a voice of authenticity and empowerment, redefining what global pop artistry looks and sounds like.
