ColorFest 2026 JCI Manila Unites Community for Mental Health Advocacy

JCI Manila has partnered with the Philippine Mental Health Association and Hyve Sports PH to launch the JCI Manila ColorFest Carnival Run for Mental Health—a vibrant community event that turns movement into meaningful advocacy.

Set on May 31, 2026 at the SM Mall of Asia Complex, the event brings together thousands of participants for a colorful celebration of fitness, community, and mental health awareness. More than just a fun run, it is a collective effort to support the construction of the PMHA Wellness Center, a dedicated space for counseling, therapy, and holistic mental wellness programs.

Running for a Cause That Matters

Proceeds from the event will help transform an unfinished area within the PMHA compound into a purpose-built wellness hub featuring counseling rooms, group therapy spaces, a healing garden, meditation areas, and calm environments designed to support emotional recovery and mental well-being. The center is envisioned as a safe, restorative space for individuals seeking guidance and support.

JCI Manila President Edison Ke emphasized that the initiative reflects the organization’s long-standing commitment to service and community development.

“Physical health and mental health are closely connected. Through initiatives like this, we want to remind people that while we often focus on physical fitness, mental health is equally important,” Ke said.

Project Chairman Anton Laborte described the ColorFest Carnival Run as more than a sporting event—it is a movement rooted in compassion and awareness.

ColorFest Carnival brings people together to remind everyone that mental health matters and that no one should face struggles alone. We invite everyone to run with us—run with purpose and run for mental health,” he said.

Building Spaces for Healing

The Philippine Mental Health Association welcomed the initiative as a vital platform for expanding mental health awareness and services nationwide.

Dr. Carolina Uno-Rayco, National Executive Director of PMHA, noted that the event helps bridge both physical and mental wellness advocacy by reaching a wider audience.

PMHA President Arch. Mariano Arce Jr. also underscored the importance of creating environments that foster healing and reflection, highlighting the upcoming Wellness Center as a space designed for relaxation, meditation, and reconnection with nature.

A Festival of Color, Movement, and Hope

The ColorFest Carnival Run will feature a lively course filled with bursts of color, music, and carnival-inspired experiences—welcoming both seasoned runners and first-time participants alike.

As preparations continue, organizers are inviting Filipinos from all walks of life to take part in this meaningful initiative. Every step taken is a step toward building a stronger, more compassionate community—where healing, support, and hope can thrive.

Registration is now open at jcimanilacolorrun.com, and participants are encouraged to run not just for fitness, but for purpose, awareness, and mental health.
