Star Cinema’s “Meet, Greet & Bye” Triumphs at Cine Expo 2026

Star Cinema’s acclaimed family drama “Meet, Greet & Bye” continues its strong award season run after winning Box Office Ensemble and Top Grosser honors at the Cine Expo 2026, held last May 12 and organized by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP).

The film’s powerhouse cast—Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, Belle Mariano, Juan Karlos, and Maricel Soriano—was recognized for both their standout performances and the movie’s strong box office impact. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, the film continues to resonate with audiences as one of the most successful Filipino family dramas in recent years.

Belle Mariano personally received the awards on behalf of the cast and production team, marking a proud moment for the ensemble behind the hit film.

Surprise Reveal for “Tayo Sa Wakas”

Adding to the excitement of the evening, Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan surprised fans with a special announcement for their upcoming romance drama “Tayo Sa Wakas”, also directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, in celebration of Star Cinema’s 33rd anniversary.

To mark the occasion, the film will launch with special discounted ticket prices in select cinemas nationwide when it opens on May 27 (Wednesday).

Participating cinemas include SM Cinemas, Ayala Malls Cinemas, Vista Cinemas, Gateway Cineplex 18, Robinsons Movieworld, Megaworld Cinemas, Shangri-La Plaza, Fisher Mall, NCCC Mall, and Sta. Lucia Mall branches.

Ticket prices vary per location, with SM Cinemas offering ₱285 (Metro Manila) and ₱240 (provinces), Ayala Malls Cinemas at ₱275 (Metro Manila) and ₱250 (provinces), Vista Cinemas at ₱290 (Metro Manila) and ₱285 (other branches), Megaworld Cinemas at ₱290 (Metro Manila) and ₱260 (provinces), Gateway Cineplex 18 and Shangri-La Plaza at ₱290, Fisher Mall ranging from ₱260–₱280 depending on branch, NCCC Malls at ₱200, and Sta. Lucia Mall branches ranging from ₱200–₱210.

Robinsons Movieworld will also roll out varied pricing across its nationwide branches, including ₱250 in select provincial cinemas, ₱280 in key Metro Manila locations, and premium pricing up to ₱330 for Nustar Premier Cinemas.

A Strong Run for Star Cinema

With awards for “Meet, Greet & Bye” and the upcoming release of “Tayo Sa Wakas,” Star Cinema continues to celebrate a powerful year of storytelling, star-driven performances, and audience-driven success.

“Tayo Sa Wakas” opens exclusively in Philippine cinemas on May 27, with international screenings beginning in June.
