What started as a running joke during their time on Pinoy Big Brother is now becoming a reality on screen. Content creator Esnyr Ranollo and actress Bianca De Vera are leveling up their real-life “twin” dynamic to play actual siblings in the upcoming vertical microdrama Half Sisters, produced by ABS-CBN Studios and iWant.

In the new comedy series, Esnyr and Bianca are set to play half-siblings Ramon and Emily, while Brent Manalo joins the main cast in a role that production is still keeping tightly under wraps.
Fans recently got their first sneak peek at the series through a newly released look test, which features Esnyr’s character, Ramon, sharing a scene with Brent. While the exact dynamics of their characters are still being kept secret, the teaser heavily implies that audiences can look forward to a lot of comedic chaos and unpredictable antics between the two.
The casting choice has highly amused fans who have closely followed Esnyr and Bianca’s friendship. After years of affectionately calling each other “twins” since their time on Pinoy Big Brother, fans are loving the irony that the duo will now officially be playing sisters on screen.
Half Sisters serves as Star Creatives’ official debut in the vertical microdrama space, building on the success of prior hits like The Loyalty Game and The Secrets of Hotel 88. Under the direction of Julius Alfonso, the show is designed to deliver a lighthearted, entertaining narrative optimized for the short-form, mobile-first viewing habits that are rapidly capturing modern audiences.
“Half Sisters” premieres on iWant this September.
