The Manila Hotel has sealed a landmark partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), officially becoming a premier training ground for aspiring hoteliers and hospitality professionals. The collaboration, solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marks a major stride in advancing enterprise-based education in the Philippines.
The agreement was formally signed during Kapihan sa Manila Hotel on August 13, 2025, with TESDA Secretary Francisco “Kiko” Benitez gracing the occasion as guest of honor. At the event, TESDA awarded The Manila Hotel its first-ever Certificates of TVET Program Registration under the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) scheme—recognizing the hotel’s comprehensive training programs.

Lina, Jr., President of The Manila Hotel. “This partnership reflects our commitment to developing skilled professionals who will uphold and elevate Philippine hospitality on the global stage. Secretary Benitez praised the initiative as a vital bridge between classroom learning and real-world practice. “The EBET program aligns training with employer requirements, and The Manila Hotel, renowned for its heritage and service excellence, is the ideal partner for this endeavor,” he noted.
Through this program, trainees will immerse themselves in various facets of hotel operations—from guest relations to culinary arts—gaining hands-on experience that meets industry standards. The EBET curriculum is designed to equip graduates with the technical skills, professionalism, and competitive edge needed to thrive in the global hospitality sector.
