A celebration of culture, innovation, and artistic expression took center stage as TCL unveiled its latest masterpiece during the “Heritage in Every Frame” event at the Centro de Turismo Intramuros Manila. Set against the historic backdrop of the country’s most iconic walled city, the gathering showcased how cutting-edge technology can become a powerful medium for preserving and reimagining Filipino heritage.

As the world’s leading Mini LED TV brand and a global powerhouse in consumer electronics, TCL continues to redefine the modern home experience. This vision came to life with the introduction of the TCL A400 Series QD-MiniLED TVs—a groundbreaking lifestyle innovation that transforms the television from a simple entertainment device into a sophisticated work of art.
Timed to coincide with the Philippines’ 128th Independence Day celebration, the launch perfectly embodied the meeting of past and future, where timeless cultural treasures are enhanced through modern technology. Guests were treated to an immersive visual experience as the beloved masterpieces of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo were digitally animated and displayed on the stunning canvas of the TCL A400 Series.

“The TCL A400 Series represents our vision of what home entertainment can become—not simply a device for viewing content, but a centerpiece that enhances the living space even when not in use,” said TCL CEO Peter Chen.
Where Technology Meets Art

At the heart of the event was a captivating exhibition showcasing the remarkable display capabilities of the TCL A400M and A400 Pro TVs. Through their ultra-vivid screens, Amorsolo’s iconic paintings were transformed into living masterpieces, breathing movement and new perspective into some of the nation’s most treasured works of art.

Displayed throughout the venue was a carefully curated collection celebrating Filipino life, tradition, and resilience. Among the featured masterpieces were Carabao Riding in Sunset, a serene depiction of rural life at dusk; Noonday Meal, portraying hardworking farmers sharing a well-earned break; and Tinikling, a vibrant tribute to one of the country’s most beloved traditional dances.

Guests also admired Dalagang Bukid, which captures the timeless grace of the Filipina and the beauty of the countryside, as well as The Blind Man, a moving portrayal of compassion and human vulnerability. The exhibition continued with Fruit Market, a lively representation of abundance and community life, before culminating in Bataan, one of Amorsolo’s most powerful wartime paintings that reflects the courage and sacrifices of the Filipino people.
Thanks to the TCL A400 Series’ exceptional color accuracy, contrast, and clarity, each masterpiece was presented with extraordinary detail, offering audiences a fresh and immersive way to experience Filipino art and history.

Adding another layer of innovation to the exhibit, acclaimed digital animator Mark Cañega reimagined Amorsolo’s paintings through subtle, carefully crafted motion graphics. The result was a seamless fusion of traditional artistry and modern storytelling that elevated the viewing experience without compromising the integrity of the original works.
“Animating the masterpieces of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo is both an incredible honor and a unique technical challenge,” shared Cañega. “His paintings are vibrant snapshots of life—filled with movement, sunlight, and emotion. Our goal was to create a moving canvas rather than a cartoon, preserving the warmth, texture, and authenticity that define his work.”
Conversations on Creativity and Modern Living
The celebration also featured an engaging panel discussion with actress Heaven Peralejo, content creator and mommy vlogger Jenny Yeo, and Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo, who shared their thoughts on how the TCL A400 Series seamlessly integrates technology, lifestyle, and art.
For Heaven, the experience was nothing short of astonishing.
“At first, I didn’t even realize I was looking at a television,” she admitted. “I honestly thought it was an actual painting. The screen captures the texture, details, and emotion so perfectly that it preserves the soul of the artwork. It truly highlights the resilience and humanity reflected in Filipino history.”
Jenny Yeo was particularly impressed by the TV’s Art Gallery Mode, which transforms the screen into a decorative centerpiece when not in use.

“My favorite feature is definitely the art gallery mode,” she said. “Growing up, the television was always on, but now I love the idea of displaying beautiful artwork instead of a blank screen. It brings together functionality and aesthetics, which is something I genuinely appreciate as a mom and homeowner.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea Manalo praised the A400 Series for its ability to bridge generations through technology.
“The TCL A400 Series gives a modern touch to the museum experience,” she shared. “It beautifully connects our culture and heritage with today’s innovations. In fact, it doesn’t even feel like a piece of technology—it blends naturally into the space as a work of art.”
Giving Back to Heritage Institutions
Beyond showcasing innovation, the event also underscored TCL’s commitment to supporting cultural preservation and community development.
As part of the celebration, TCL donated essential appliances, including televisions and air-conditioning units, to several institutions within Intramuros. Beneficiaries included the Centro de Turismo Intramuros, the Intramuros Information Center, the iMAKE History Fortress LEGO Education Center, and the Fr. Luis G. Merino, O.S.A. Library.

“The Intramuros Administration is deeply grateful for opportunities like this, where innovation and creativity become bridges connecting people to their roots,” said Intramuros Administration Administrator Atty. Joan Padilla. “Through new and dynamic platforms, we can breathe fresh life into the masterpieces of our National Artists and inspire future generations to appreciate our cultural heritage.”

A New Canvas for Home Entertainment
More than a product launch, Heritage in Every Frame demonstrated how technology can elevate storytelling, preserve culture, and enrich everyday living.
By transforming legendary artworks into immersive visual experiences, the TCL A400 Series challenged conventional perceptions of what a television can be. It showcased how modern display technology can seamlessly merge art, history, and lifestyle—creating meaningful experiences that extend far beyond entertainment.

In her closing remarks, TCL Director of Sales Cyd Montebon reflected on the significance of the exhibit.
“The TCL A400 Series has shown us how innovation can create new ways to experience and appreciate Filipino heritage. Through this platform, we’ve seen timeless masterpieces presented in a format that connects art, culture, and modern living. It reflects TCL’s commitment to creating technology that enhances everyday experiences while inspiring creativity, self-expression, and meaningful connections.”
With the TCL A400 Series, every screen becomes more than a display—it becomes a frame for culture, creativity, and the stories that continue to define the Filipino spirit.
