STARGLOW is raising the bar with “Slam Dunk,” the latest pre-release single from the five-member group’s highly anticipated first album, “Aurora.” The high-energy hip-hop track features some of the most demanding choreography the group has tackled so far, with ReiNa of dance crew RHT. adding an extra layer of intensity and aggressive energy to the performance.
Inspired by basketball, “Slam Dunk” reflects STARGLOW’s determination to overcome challenges, break through barriers, and defy expectations as they shape their own future. The accompanying music video takes this concept to spectacular heights, featuring the members performing atop a basketball hoop suspended high above the ground against a dramatic city-at-night backdrop. Combining powerful choreography with striking visuals, the release highlights the group’s expanding performance capabilities and relentless drive to reach new heights.
The single builds anticipation for STARGLOW’s debut album, “Aurora,” set for release on November 18. Since making their debut in January 2026, the five-member group under SKY-HI-led BMSG has quickly established itself as one of the rising acts to watch in the music scene. They became the only Japanese act included in NME’s “100 Artists to Watch in 2026” shortly after their debut.
Their second single, “USOTSUKI,” further strengthened their growing reputation, reaching No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Digital Single Ranking and No. 2 on the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100. By August, just seven months after their debut, STARGLOW had already achieved another major milestone with their first arena performance.
The members have also explored new creative territory through League of Legends. STARGLOW’s TAIKI, KANON, and ADAM recently delivered a cover of “Live My Life,” originally performed by Riot Games’ virtual music group HEARTSTEEL. The accompanying video takes viewers behind the scenes as the trio records their version, capturing the song’s upbeat and refreshing energy and its message of embracing individuality and living freely. It also offers fans a more relaxed and unguarded look at the three members.
With “Aurora” on the horizon, STARGLOW is preparing to take its growing momentum into 2027 through its first arena tour, “STARGLOW 1st Arena Tour 2027 ‘Aurora – The Dawn -’.” The tour will feature 14 performances across seven cities in Japan. From their January 2026 debut to their first full-length album and nationwide arena tour in just over a year, STARGLOW continues to demonstrate its ambition and determination to push beyond its limits. “Slam Dunk” captures this exciting chapter in the group’s rapidly evolving journey.
