Global music icon Shakira continues to prove why she remains one of the most influential artists of her generation. Fresh off the phenomenal success of her latest single “Dai Dai” with Nigerian superstar Burna Boy, the Colombian hitmaker has once again taken the global music scene by storm.

The FIFA World Cup 2026™ anthem has become the most-streamed song on Spotify worldwide and has climbed to the top of the Billboard Global Chart, further solidifying Shakira’s status as the world’s most-streamed Latin artist.

Released on May 14, “Dai Dai” serves as the Official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Song in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, blending infectious Latin pop melodies with the vibrant rhythms of Afrobeat through Burna Boy’s signature style. The song celebrates perseverance, unity, and football’s unmatched ability to bring people together across cultures.

A Global Anthem for the Beautiful Game

More than just a tournament soundtrack, Dai Dai pays tribute to football’s greatest legends, honoring icons such as Pelé, Diego Maradona, Paolo Maldini, Romário, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos “El Pibe” Valderrama, Andrés Iniesta, David Beckham, Kaká, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, and Mohamed Salah.

Its message of resilience and unity has resonated with fans around the globe, helping the song dominate streaming platforms and international charts.

Even before reaching the top of Spotify’s global rankings, the song had already become a worldwide phenomenon. Its official music video has amassed more than 296 million views, while the track has surpassed 500 million streams across digital platforms.

Shattering Records Once Again

Shakira’s momentum continues beyond the success of Dai Dai.

The Grammy-winning singer recently surpassed 99 million monthly listeners on Spotify, setting a new platform record for any Latin female artist. Meanwhile, Dai Dai continues to chart in more than 56 countries, reinforcing its status as one of 2026’s biggest global hits.

Taking the World Stage

Shakira is currently performing the second U.S. leg of her blockbuster Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, featuring a special FIFA World Cup edition of the show.

The tour follows her historic free concert on Copacabana Beach in Brazil, which attracted more than 2 million fans, making it one of the largest live performances of her career.

Before launching the European residency of the tour in Spain, Shakira is set to headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show on July 19, sharing the stage with an all-star lineup that includes Madonna, BTS, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, and Burna Boy in a landmark celebration of music, sport, and global unity.

The groundbreaking halftime spectacle will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, bringing together world-class performers for an unforgettable moment in FIFA World Cup™ history.

A Historic Tour Continues

Following the World Cup festivities, Shakira will head to Spain for an innovative international residency at Shakira Stadium, a purpose-built venue designed by Bjarke Ingels Group within Iberdrola Music. The venue will accommodate more than 50,000 fans per night, offering cutting-edge acoustics, unobstructed sightlines, and immersive fan experiences.

Since launching in February 2025, the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour has rewritten the record books, becoming the highest-grossing tour across all genres that year. In January 2026, it also earned the Guinness World Record as the highest-grossing tour ever by a Spanish-language artist—another milestone in an extraordinary career that continues to redefine global pop music.
