Kicking off a packed San Diego Comic-Con panel, Prime Video debuted the official teaser trailer for Carrie, giving fans a haunting first look at Mike Flanagan’s television adaptation of Stephen King’s iconic debut novel. Offering a fresh and contemporary reimagining of the beloved horror classic, the teaser delivers a chilling yet emotionally grounded preview, hinting at the new layers and perspectives that will define this reimagined version of Carrie.

The panel concluded with showrunner and director Mike Flanagan revealing the series’ official premiere date while unveiling new key art inspired by the infamous prom scene. The artwork offers fans an early glimpse of the adaptation’s unique vision, teasing both its fresh perspective and the iconic moments that will unfold with greater emotional depth and tension throughout the series.

About Carrie

Based on Stephen King’s landmark debut novel, Carrie is a bold, timely, and unexpected reinvention of the classic coming-of-age story, adapted into a television series for the very first time by acclaimed showrunner Mike Flanagan.

The series follows social outcast Carrie White (Summer H. Howell), who has spent her entire life isolated within the confines of her home under the watchful eye of her fiercely protective mother, Margaret White (Samantha Sloyan). After the sudden and untimely death of her father forces her into the harsh realities of public high school, Carrie finds herself navigating a viral bullying scandal that sweeps through her community, the relentless pressures and casual cruelty of the social media age, and the awakening of mysterious telekinetic abilities that emerge alongside her adolescence.
