Prime Video has entered a strategic multi-year partnership with CJ ENM, one of Korea’s leading entertainment powerhouses, to globally distribute premium Korean content. Announced at the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai, India, the agreement underscores Prime Video’s continued commitment to making Asian entertainment more accessible on a global stage. The deal covers worldwide distribution rights (excluding Korea and China) for select Korean titles produced by CJ ENM, Studio Dragon, and CJ ENM STUDIOS.
Starting in June 2025, Prime Video will debut Head Over Heels, a highly anticipated fantasy romance drama, as the first of many exclusive titles to be launched throughout 2025 and 2026. The platform will also expand its Korean drama library with beloved CJ ENM titles such as Her Private Life, Another Miss Oh, and the popular thriller Mouse. These additions will be available in over 240 countries and territories.
To ensure broader accessibility, Prime Video will offer subtitles in 28 languages and dubbing in 11 languages for all upcoming Korean titles, reinforcing its global strategy to bring compelling stories to audiences worldwide—regardless of language or geography.
“This strategic collaboration with CJ ENM reinforces Prime Video’s mission to deliver the very best of Korean storytelling to global audiences,” said Kelly Day, Head of International and VP, Prime Video. “We’ve seen the massive success of shows like Marry My Husband and No Gain, No Love, which became Top 10 global hits among non-English originals in 2024. With this new slate and deeper collaboration, we’re excited to offer more exclusive, high-quality Korean titles in languages viewers prefer.”
Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President of APAC & MENA at Prime Video, added,
“Our goal is to be the go-to platform for great entertainment, from global blockbusters to regional gems. As Korean content continues to win hearts worldwide, our partnership with CJ ENM gives Prime members unprecedented access to some of Korea’s most innovative and emotionally resonant stories.”
CJ ENM also expressed excitement over the collaboration.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Prime Video to share our stories with an even broader audience,” said Jangho Seo, EVP of CJ ENM’s Content Business Division. “Titles like Marry My Husband have already proven the universal appeal of Korean narratives. With Prime Video’s global reach and strong localization support, we’re confident our upcoming content will connect deeply with viewers across languages and cultures.”
This collaboration marks another milestone in Prime Video’s investment in Korean entertainment, further solidifying its position as a premier global platform for diverse storytelling. All new and catalog titles from this partnership will be available to Prime members at no additional cost.
