No Lore is building anticipation among listeners with their upcoming single, ‘Tahimik’, set to release on all major streaming platforms at midnight this Friday, April 5, 2024.

This forthcoming track signifies a notable departure for the band, renowned for their bold musical style.

‘Tahimik’, meaning “quiet” in Filipino, embraces a serene and reflective tone.

“We aim for this song to envelop listeners like a comforting embrace,” shares Jerald. “It’s a tribute to the subtle and tranquil.”

Inspired by a Serene Sense of Joy

Taking cues from the serene resilience of introverts and the understated beauty of relationships, ‘Tahimik’ challenges the stereotype that happiness belongs only to extroverts.

“There’s a misconception that genuine happiness is exclusive to outgoing personalities, but we disagree,” explains Jerald. “This track celebrates finding fulfillment and tranquility in the ordinary, even without grand achievements.”

Unlike their previous work, ‘Tahimik’ signals a departure toward a more relaxed sound, with the duo simplifying their signature style to embrace a sense of ease. Collaborating with Nikhil Amarnani from Line In Records, No Lore has crafted a minimalist and atmospheric track imbued with emotional depth.

“We experimented with various versions, but ultimately, we stripped everything down to achieve the simplicity we were aiming for,” explained Jerald.

The siblings revealed that a special music video, featuring prominent theater actors, will be released soon. Set against the bustling streets of Manila, the video’s narrative, developed by Brilliant Jerk Productions, complements the song’s theme of finding solace amidst noise.

“The setting perfectly complements the theme of tuning out the noise in the story of the lovers,” added Jerald.

Drawing inspiration from film music artists like Ludovico Einaudi, No Lore seamlessly integrates elements of minimalist music into ‘Tahimik’, creating a captivating sonic journey for listeners. With lyrics that challenge societal norms and embrace contentment, the duo hopes to inspire listeners to find joy in quiet moments and embrace their authentic selves.

“We want them to view this song as the soundtrack for introverts and their understated yet fulfilling relationships,” shared Tita Halaman.

Both No Lore siblings express excitement for their fans to experience this new aspect of their sound. “I’m really thrilled for our followers to hear the softer side of our music, something we’ve never explored before,” says Jerald. Tita Halaman adds that they both hope their fans will perceive this song as the soundtrack for introverts and their understated yet contented relationships.
