Bleeding December, a cross-continental alternative rock collaboration, has officially arrived on the scene. Bringing together distinct musical backgrounds and legendary rock lineage, the band is gearing up for the highly anticipated release of the Bleeding December EP.
With their music now streaming globally, this project serves as a compelling bridge between raw Filipino storytelling and classic international rock production.
A Transpacific Alliance Born from Rock Lineage
At the heart of Bleeding December is an unexpected but seamless partnership that spans thousands of miles. The band is anchored by Filipino singer, guitarist, and lyricist Mel Felismino—brother of Jaeson Felismino from the massive OPM hitmaking band Nobita—and Canadian bassist and producer Dave Habza. Together, the duo blends a shared passion for emotive songwriting with a gritty, melodic edge.
Adding massive weight to their debut extended play is session drummer Frank Ferrer. Known worldwide for his powerhouse percussion work with iconic rock bands like Guns N’ Roses, The Psychedelic Furs, and Love Spit Love, Ferrer lends his signature rhythmic drive to the band’s studio recordings, elevating the EP’s overall sonic profile to a world-class level.
“I Know Now”: A Masterclass in 90s Nostalgia
The band’s latest single, “I Know Now,” is out and streaming across major platforms. The track leans heavily into a rich blend of alternative rock, acoustic pop, and adult contemporary, channeling a distinct 90s rock vibe that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly timeless.
