Global Trendsetter: “It’s Showtime’s” Premiere Episode on GMA Makes Waves Worldwide

ABS-CBN’s iconic noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ marked another historic milestone with its debut episode, captivating viewers worldwide and reaching a peak of 500,000 concurrent views today.

Asia’s Unkabogable superstar and birthday celebrant, Vice Ganda, set the stage on fire with a spectacular “Dune”-inspired opening number, transitioning to a mesmerizing performance atop the GMA logo at the network’s headquarters. She dazzled with renditions of “Thunder,” “Champion” and “Hall of Fame.”

Joined by co-hosts Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Karylle, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Amy Perez, Darren Espanto, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Ryan Bang, Jackie Gonzaga, MC, Lassy, Ion Perez, and Cianne Dominguez, the show delivered heart-pounding performances for both Kapamilya and Kapuso audiences.

Expressing gratitude to ABS-CBN and GMA executives for their unwavering support, Vice emphasized that the collaboration between the two networks aims to bring joy and entertainment to viewers.

Kapuso stars Gabbi Garcia, Sanya Lopez, Glaiza de Castro, Jillian Ward, Mark Bautista, Christian Bautista, Jake Vargas, Mikee Quintos, Nadine Samonte, and Chanty joined the celebration, witnessing the electrifying “Karaokids” segment.

Apart from the exhilarating opening number, the premiere episode on GMA featured a special segment of “Expecially For You,” where Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee embarked on a quest, accompanied by her mother, Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez.
