Led by the emotionally raw track “RILAPS,” the ten-track record follows the messy, nonlinear path from heartbreak to finally choosing yourself.

Singer-songwriter LU MARZAN officially steps into a new chapter with the release of her debut album, NO KONTAK!, a 10-track coming-of-age record born from the silence and emotional aftermath of a breakup.
Released under Off The Record and distributed by Sony Music Philippines, NO KONTAK! embraces heartbreak in all its rawness, refusing to smooth over its messier realities. Across the album, LU moves through grief, longing, resentment, false hope, relapse, and the gradual realization that choosing yourself can sometimes be its own form of closure.
What began as a private outlet for emotions she could not fully articulate eventually became LU’s most intimate body of work to date. Each track captures a different stage of trying to move forward while carrying wounds that have yet to fully heal, reflecting the reality that healing rarely follows a straight or predictable path.
“RILAPS”: When Moving On Means Facing Yourself
At the heart of the album is its lead single and emotional centerpiece, “RILAPS.” The song confronts the difficult realization that some heartbreaks remain painful not simply because we cannot let go of another person, but because we continue returning to unresolved wounds within ourselves.
Built around aching repetition and emotional surrender, “RILAPS” transforms the experience of relapse into a devastating anthem about recognizing the patterns that keep us stuck. Rather than portraying healing as a clean or effortless escape, the song captures those moments when progress suddenly collapses, memories resurface, and the heart finds itself back where it started.
The album follows this emotional cycle through tracks such as “PUCHA,” “AYOKONG UMASA,” “LASING NA SA’YO,” and “ATRAS-ABANTE,” featuring soph of fitterkarma. Together, the songs feel like pages torn from LU’s personal journal—stories that may never have been intended for public consumption, but ultimately needed to be heard.
NO KONTAK! is more than a collection of breakup songs. It is a record about the frustrations of growing up, the limitations of romantic hope, and the courage required to stop waiting for someone else to provide the closure you need.

From Aurora to a Rising OPM Voice
Raised in San Luis, Aurora, and now based in Quezon City, LU MARZAN has long transformed personal experiences into songs centered on heartbreak, self-discovery, and resilience.
Growing up along the riverbanks of Aurora, she began writing music at just 12 years old, using songwriting as a way to process her emotions and make sense of the world around her.
Those early experiences continue to influence her artistry today. Her songwriting is rooted in honesty, vulnerability, vivid storytelling, and a distinctly Filipino perspective, allowing even deeply personal experiences to resonate with listeners on a universal level.
Since signing with Off The Record and Sony Music Entertainment, LU MARZAN has quickly established herself as one of OPM’s most promising emerging voices. Her breakout single, “LASING NA SA’YO,” debuted at No. 1 on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Philippines, where LU was also featured as the playlist’s cover artist.
The track went on to earn additional placements on EQUAL, OPM Says Chillax, OPM Rising, and New Music Friday, further establishing LU as an artist to watch in the evolving OPM landscape.
With NO KONTAK!, LU MARZAN goes beyond simply documenting the end of a relationship. Instead, she captures the moment when heartbreak stops being about the person who walked away and begins exposing the parts of ourselves that still need to heal.
