Get ready to laugh, gasp, and maybe even question everything you thought you knew about identity. “Flower Girl” is set to shake up local cinema this June with its daring blend of comedy, fantasy, and social commentary.

From the powerhouse collaboration of The IdeaFirst Company (Die Beautiful, And the Breadwinner Is…), Octobertrain (Bwakaw, Barber’s Tales), and CreaZion Studios (Isang Himala, Everything About My Wife), comes Flower Girl—a genre-defying film that promises both belly laughs and meaningful reflection.

Starring Sue Ramirez, Martin del Rosario, and Jameson Blake, and featuring KaladKaren and Maxie Andreison in unforgettable roles, the film is written and directed by Fatrick Tabada, the brilliant mind behind Patay na si Hesus.

The Plot
Ramirez plays Ena, a modern Filipina and sanitary napkin endorser living her best life—until a heated encounter in a women’s restroom turns her world upside down. After offending a trans woman (KaladKaren), who is later revealed to be a magical babaylan, Ena wakes up to a shocking discovery: she’s lost her vagina.

The curse comes with a condition—if Ena can’t find true, unconditional love before a mystical flower loses its final petal, her “flower” is gone for good. What follows is a riotous, heartwarming, and often absurd journey through gender, identity, and self-worth.

“This film is an irreverent comedy that tackles a very relevant topic: gender politics. But we made it fun, fearless, and fierce,” says Tabada. “It asks: if you lost what society defines as your womanhood, who would still love you? And more importantly, who are you without it?”

Perci Intalan, President and Director of The IdeaFirst Company, adds, “Our goal has always been to spotlight voices often left unheard, and ‘Flower Girl’ brings new light to the modern Filipina experience—complex, misunderstood, and rarely seen in this way on screen.”

CreaZion Studios’ CEO RJ San Agustin echoes this sentiment: “We’re here to challenge norms and celebrate Filipino stories in their boldest, most unfiltered forms. With or without a ‘flower,’ this is HERstory in the making.”

So if you’re ready for a comedy that’s equal parts bold, bizarre, and beautiful, Flower Girl might just be your next cinematic obsession. 🌸

Coming to major cinemas this June.
