ABS-CBN once again championed the future of Philippine media as it gathered some of the country’s leading media professionals to inspire and educate over 1,000 communication students from 64 colleges and universities nationwide during the two-day Pinoy Media Congress (PMC) 2025 held at the University of Makati.

Now celebrating its 20th year, the congress has become a highly anticipated event for aspiring media practitioners. This year’s PMC was graced by ABS-CBN’s top executives including Chairman Mark Lopez, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO Cory Vidanes, and Head of Corporate Communications Kane Errol Choa, along with University of Makati President Elyxzur Ramos and Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) President Mark Lester Chico.
“Our dream today goes beyond being a television station. We now dream of becoming storytellers who bring Filipino narratives to the world,” said Carlo Katigbak in his keynote speech. “We want global audiences to see the exceptional talent of the Filipino—in storytelling, acting, music, directing, and producing.”
Students were treated to valuable insights, best practices, and inspiring messages from ABS-CBN’s roster of executives and creatives, including:
- Francis Toral (ABS-CBN News Head)
- Roxy Liquigan (ABS-CBN Music & Integrated Events Head)
- Kriz Gazmen (ABS-CBN Films Head)

- Dani Sedilla-Cruz (Knowledge Channel Head of Platforms and Partnerships)
The event also featured insights on public relations and media research from FEU VP for Corporate Affairs Wen Reyes and Kantar Media Managing Director Jay Bautista.
Adding fun and energy to the congress were surprise performances by Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 housemates, rising P-pop groups BGYO and 1621, and Kapamilya stars Anji Salvacion, Gelo Rivera, and Jarea. The excitement continued with games and giveaways hosted by MYX VJs Jarren Garcia, Samm Alvero, Robbie Jaworski, Eya Almamari, and Kring Prologo.
