Set against the sunlit shores and sea breeze of Discovery Samal, Epson Philippines Corporation brought together its media partners for Fusion—transforming its annual engagement into a more purposeful platform for dialogue, collaboration, and shared responsibility.

Now in its 17th year, Fusion continues to evolve as a space for open, forward-looking conversations around Epson’s priorities, innovations, and long-term direction. This year’s theme, ECOPRINT, underscores a simple yet powerful principle: meaningful impact is not achieved overnight, but built steadily through everyday decisions, consistent practices, and strong partnerships.
During the Brand Talk on Day 1 of Fusion 17, Epson executives outlined how sustainability is deeply embedded across the company’s strategies and operations, anchored in its long-term vision, Engineered for Good 2035. The discussion emphasized Epson’s commitment to developing solutions that address real-world challenges while considering their lasting impact on businesses, communities, and the environment.
“At Epson, sustainability is part of how we work every day. It guides the way we develop our technologies, run our business, and work with our partners and communities,” said Masako Kusama. “Through Fusion, we value the opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and continue building meaningful partnerships.”

Epson highlighted how its sustainability approach extends beyond environmental programs into the technologies it creates. Innovations such as Heat-Free Technology and energy-efficient printing solutions enable businesses to optimize operations while reducing energy consumption and resource use—balancing performance with environmental responsibility.
The company also shared how these principles are reflected internally through workplace initiatives such as waste segregation, recycling efforts, and its employee-driven Trash to Treasure campaign. In FY25 alone, Epson Philippines collected more than 1,100 kilograms of plastic waste and over 1,100 kilograms of shredded paper for recycling and upcycling—demonstrating tangible progress through collective action.
Beyond its own operations, Epson continues to collaborate with partners and communities to advance sustainability efforts. Among the key initiatives presented was its partnership with WWF-Philippines in Pio Duran, Albay, which focuses on strengthening local waste management systems through improved collection processes, plastic recycling, and community capacity-building programs.
The company also spotlighted its Corporate Waste Collection Program, first piloted in Davao and later expanded to Cebu. The initiative empowers channel partners to properly collect, dispose of, and recycle used consumables and other waste materials—extending responsible practices across its broader network.
Complementing the discussions, media partners participated in “Conquer the Elements: The Samal Challenge,” an immersive, island-wide activity that tested teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving. Inspired by the elements, the experience brought participants across various locations in Samal Island, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration that defines Fusion.

Through meaningful conversations and shared experiences, Fusion 17 brought the ECOPRINT theme to life—demonstrating that sustainability and innovation are not one-time efforts, but ongoing commitments shaped by everyday actions, collective responsibility, and consistent progress.
