The 7-track EP reflects SB19’s complex humanity and evolving artistry, while dealing with the constant pressures of fame, identity, and public opinion

SB19 embarks on a powerful new chapter with the release of their third EP, Simula at Wakas, now streaming on all digital platforms via Sony Music Entertainment. More than just a musical offering, the EP captures the group’s evolution—an emotional journey rooted in beginnings and endings, growth and reinvention.
“This is our way of expressing gratitude and showing how much we’ve grown,” SB19 shares in an official statement. “Simula at Wakas embodies everything we’ve experienced—the struggles, the triumphs, the growth. We hope this speaks to our longtime fans and warmly welcomes new ones into our story.”
Serving as the final installment of a trilogy that began with pagsibol (2021) and PAGTATAG! (2023), the new EP confronts themes of closure and renewal. The seven-track release is a deeply personal reflection of life as artists navigating fame, purpose, and identity. The group shares further insights into this creative journey through Spotify’s “This is SB19” playlist.
“We’re still the same SB19, but we’ve matured and embraced who we are as artists,” they explain. “This EP is both a celebration of where we’ve been and a bold step toward what’s next.”
Simula at Wakas is as introspective as it is innovative, blending emotionally resonant lyrics with genre-defying soundscapes. Featuring production and songwriting from SB19 themselves, alongside trusted local and global collaborators like Xerxes Bakker, Alawn, August Rigo, Simon Servida, and Josue (RADKIDZ), the EP is a full-circle creative experience—with all five members contributing to the music, visuals, choreography, and storytelling.
“We were involved every step of the way,” the group reveals. “From concept and writing to promotions and execution, we worked closely together and with our collaborators to make this project our most ambitious yet.”
Among the tracks are the viral hit “DAM,” the anthemic ballad “Time,” and the experimental “DUNGKA!”—each track offering a unique lens into SB19’s artistry. “Time,” a reflective standout, explores life’s impermanence and encourages listeners to find meaning in the moment. “We know we won’t be SB19 forever,” the group admits. “So we want to make the most of the time we have and give our best in everything.”
“DUNGKA!” pushes sonic boundaries, diving into hyperpop and rave-inspired production—an exciting reminder of SB19’s fearless approach to music.
To bring the EP to life, SB19 launched the DAM Tree—an immersive art installation in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), open until May 4, 2025. Featuring parabolic sound domes and exclusive track previews, the exhibit invites fans to step into the emotional and conceptual world of Simula at Wakas.
“A tree symbolizes life and transformation—from a seed to full bloom,” the group says. “That mirrors our message: honoring our roots while looking toward what’s ahead. The DAM Tree is a shared experience—one fans can feel, hear, and remember.”
As part of this milestone, SB19 will kick off their Simula at Wakas World Tour with two major concerts at the Philippine Arena on May 31 and June 1, 2025—the first show already sold out. The tour will continue across Taiwan, the U.S., Canada, Singapore, and the Middle East, with upcoming stops in Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong soon to be announced.
“We’ve been reworking some of our songs for this tour, and we can’t wait to perform them live,” they say. “Each show will be a unique experience—full of emotion, energy, and connection.”
