This August, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) transforms its iconic façade into a breathtaking canvas of light, honoring three significant national events: Buwan ng Wikang Filipino (National Language Month), ASEAN Month, and National Heroes Day.

Every evening until August 31, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (except Mondays), the CCP façade comes alive with vibrant colors, striking patterns, and symbolic imagery—celebrating the richness of Filipino culture, the spirit of regional unity, and the heroism that defines our nation’s history.

“We are thrilled to celebrate these important occasions by lighting up the CCP façade. This is our way of honoring the Filipino language, fostering greater understanding and collaboration within the ASEAN community, and paying tribute to the heroes who have shaped our nation,” shared CCP President Kaye Tinga.

The light show draws inspiration from the Philippine and ASEAN flags, showcasing hues of red, yellow, white, and blue. The word “WIKA” in Baybayin is also projected, highlighting the uniqueness of the Filipino writing system and the enduring importance of our national language.

Behind this dazzling production is the CCP Technical Team, with design conceptualized by Jericho A. Pagana and executed by Shantie De Roca alongside the CCP Gobo Team: Mary Grace Budol and Lucio Tapiru. The façade lighting uses ETC Lights (50 and 36 degrees) to create a captivating and dynamic display.

Through this spectacle, the CCP continues its mission to promote Philippine culture and values, bringing the arts closer to the broadest public.
