UnionBank of the Philippines has partnered with the Social Security System (SSS) to launch SSS LoanLite, a fully digital lending solution designed to make short-term credit more accessible, convenient, and affordable for Filipinos.
Formalized through a memorandum of understanding, the initiative aims to streamline financial support for active SSS members and UnionBank customers by enabling fast, paperless loan access directly through the UnionBank mobile app.
Under the program, qualified users can apply for short-term loans ranging from ₱1,000 to ₱20,000, with flexible repayment terms of 15 to 90 days. Once approved, funds are credited instantly—providing timely financial assistance for everyday needs and unexpected expenses.
By combining the reach of SSS with UnionBank’s digital banking infrastructure, SSS LoanLite is designed to simplify borrowing while maintaining trust, security, and efficiency. The initiative reflects both institutions’ shared goal of expanding financial inclusion and improving access to essential credit services for more Filipinos.
