Fresh off their headline tour across Asia, the acclaimed English indie-pop four-piece PREP has officially returned with their latest single, “Who Can I Turn To.” The track delivers a smooth, soul-infused listening experience that effortlessly blends the group’s signature city pop aesthetic with the organic, rustic warmth of acoustic and slide guitars. The new song is now available for fans to stream globally.

A London-to-Nashville Creative Fusion

Co-written alongside Grammy-winning producer and songwriter Daniel Tashian—highly celebrated for his landmark work with Kacey Musgraves—”Who Can I Turn To” bridges the gap between PREP’s sleek, late-night groove and Tashian’s subtle Americana sensibilities.

The track’s origin story is as unique as its sound. Initially sketched out as a basic demo in London, the song evolved into its final form during an adventurous writing trip to Nashville, Tennessee. An unexpected, historic ice storm blanketing the American city ultimately set the atmospheric backdrop for the recording session.

“We knew we wanted to go to Nashville and write with Daniel Tashian. What we didn’t know was that we’d end up getting there in the middle of the worst ice storm the city had seen in decades,” the band shared. “But Daniel had a fire going, welcomed us in, and once we got playing, everything felt great. This song really encapsulates the whole trip.”

“We knew it needed something extra and as soon as we started mixing the PREP sound world with Daniel’s acoustic and slide guitar, it gave us exactly the lift we’d been looking for,” the band says. Balancing wistful melodies with an easy, groove-led rhythm, the result is a natural meeting of worlds, with PREP’s effortless musicianship at the heart of it all.

Building on an impressive discography of two full-length albums and five EPs, “Who Can I Turn To” represents the next evolution for the band. The track continues to refine their signature style, which is deeply defined by sun-dappled melodies and highly polished rhythms.

Fresh Off a Milestone 2026 Asia Tour

The highly anticipated release comes right on the heels of their massive October 2026 Asia Tour. The trek saw the band bring their immersive live show to major cities across the region, including Taipei, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Bangkok. The tour also featured a milestone race-day performance at the high-profile Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix.

Furthering their dedication to regional musical collaborations, select tour dates featured the prominent Thai band YONLAPA. Additionally, longtime collaborator James Alyn made a surprise guest appearance with the band during their tour stop in Bangkok.

Deep Roots in the Asian Music Scene

Asia has long served as the centerpiece of PREP’s international trajectory. The band has established a stellar track record of sold-out tours across Southeast Asia, including a highly successful 2024 regional run with packed venues in Bangkok, Taipei, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Manila.

Their festival footprint across the region is equally massive. In 2023, they graced the stage at Thailand’s VERY Festival, embarked on a series of headline dates across China, and wrapped up the year with a high-profile set at Clockenflap in Hong Kong. Earlier in 2026, the quartet also delivered a standout performance at the Seoul Jazz Festival in South Korea.

Global Streaming Dominance Fueled by Southeast Asia

With more than 650 million cumulative streams across digital platforms and a coveted spot among Chartmetric‘s Top 25 Pop Soul Artists globally, PREP’s international footprint is expanding rapidly. Southeast Asia remains their absolute stronghold, with their primary global audience metrics distributed across the following key territories:

  • #1 Stronghold: Thailand
  • #3 Stronghold: Indonesia
  • #4 Stronghold: Philippines
  • #5 Stronghold: Malaysia
  • #6 Stronghold: Taiwan

On social media, their viral indie-pop rendition of Harry Styles’ “As It Was“ has transformed into a massive digital phenomenon, amassing over 5.8 billion views and soundtracking 1.6 million unique TikTok creations.

Looking Ahead to the Third Album

With the launch of “Who Can I Turn To,” PREP continues to masterfully evolve their distinctive city pop soundscape while remaining open to unexpected cross-genre influences. As the four-piece shifts focus toward the production of their highly anticipated third studio album, they plan to carry forward the intimate, collaborative studio spirit they recently rediscovered during the recording of their latest EP.

“Making the EP, we did recapture some of that spirit of working not in a big studio, like we had on the second album,” says keyboardist Llywelyn. “I think that we’re going to carry on that approach with this third album.“
