What’s a better way to kick off this year’s Pride Month celebration than with an exciting and immersive new theatre play? It’s the first week of #PrideMonth and if you’re looking for ways to start June, we present you, Dalaga na si Maxie Oliveros: A Drag Musical Extravaganza!
The much-awaited sequel to Maxie The Musical will be premiering this June, this time, our star of the show is all grown up and will be returning with a whole cast of talented artists. Running from June 13th to June 22nd of 2025, the show marks the dazzling return of one of Filipino pop culture’s most beloved queer icons.
This bold reimagining of Maxie’s story invites audiences to enter into her world of glitz and glamour, heartbreaks, and fabulous complications. In this sequel, it is set five years after Maxie the Musical, and as the story unfolds, we follow Maxie as she navigates love, identity, and resilience in a world that’s still catching up to her radiance.
Experience a theatrical play unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, Dalaga na si Maxie Oliveros is more than just a sequel—a part drag show, part musical, and part rally cry, prepare for an immersive production that promises powerful dialoque, emotion, and fabulousness! Performances will unfold in and around the audience, changing how a stage and the audience seat looks like by being an interactive celebration of queer joy, survival, and transformation.
The new musical continues the legacy of ‘Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros,’ the 2005 award-winning film that gave birth to a beautiful star—Maxie. The film was followed by ‘Maxie the Musical’ in 2013 which became a hit in the theatrical scene and earning acclaim for its exuberant yet tender take on the queer coming-of-age experience.
Maxie is returning to reclaim her story this time, grown, fiercer, and more unapologetically herself than ever before! Presented by J+Productions under special arrangements with the original film makers and Ticket2Me, and line produced by PETA Plus.

Breathing new life into the iconic character of Maxie Oh is rising star Jamila Rivera, a fresh
talent hailing from Naga City, Camarines Sur. Jamila made the journey to audition for the role,
eager to showcase not only his dynamic drag artistry but also his exceptional singing voice.
Joining Jamila in the main cast are some of the country’s top drag performers: Zymba Ding,
Corazon Filipinas, MRS TAN, and Winter Sheason Nicole—alongside equally-talented actors Jem
Manicad, Gerhard Krystoppher, and Gabriel Villaruel.
Rounding out the powerhouse ensemble are Ado Villanueva, Air Paz, Gerald Magallanes,
Honey Bravo, Jay Cortez, Marit Samson, Misha Fabian, and Robert Macaraeg.
This highly anticipated production is directed by Melvin Lee, written by Julia Icawat Enriquez
and Mikaundre Gozum Santos, with musical direction, arrangement, and additional original
songs by JJ Pimpinio.
