The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) Vios Cup returns with renewed excitement and heart-pounding action for its second leg, set to take place on September 9, 2023, at the Clark International Speedway (CIS) in Pampanga.
Open to all with no entry fee, this race event hosted by Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) invites racing enthusiasts to fully immerse themselves in this exhilarating celebration of high-speed vehicles and accomplished racing champions.
Motor racing aficionados can start enjoying the live race events at the speedway from 9:30 in the morning onwards. For those unable to attend in person, online viewers can tune in via live stream on the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines Facebook page.
Vios Cup Leg 1 Highlights
The inaugural leg of the TGR Vios Cup recently came to a thrilling conclusion, leaving behind a trail of exhilarating moments. Jarond Mesina and Ian Rosales of Team Toyota Cebu took the spotlight in the Circuit Championship races, triumphing in the Promotional and Super Sporting classes, respectively.
In the Sporting Class, Bern Corpino of Toyota Balintawak Inc. – Obengers Racing Team claimed the top spot on the podium. Pattice Tenorio, a Vios Cup rookie from Zigwheels, emerged victorious in the Media Promotional Class, while Siegwald Go secured first place in the Media Sporting Class.
The Promotional Influencer Class witnessed an impressive all-female podium finish, with Bianca Yao leading the pack, followed by Arriane Bautista and Apple David in second and third places, respectively. Finally, Miguel Romulo clinched the championship in the Sporting Influencer Class.
The thrill continues for Vios Cup Leg 2
For the second leg of the TGR Vios Cup this season, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) promises another thrilling race weekend that fans won’t want to miss. The competitors are revved up and prepared to deliver an outstanding performance, embodying the spirit of healthy competition in the Vios Cup Leg 2.
Buckle up and show your unwavering support for this year’s racers, both in the Circuit Championship and Autocross Challenge.
Participants vying for victory in the Circuit Championship category will compete within their respective classes, while in the Autocross Challenge, drivers will strive to navigate a pre-set obstacle course in as few laps as possible.
This leg’s Circuit Championship and Autocross Challenge will feature a diverse mix of professional and novice racers, celebrities, influencers, and media personalities. Among them, Vios Cup veteran Troy Montero returns to the track for the Circuit Championship Sporting Class, while Promotional Class racer Enzo Pineda is joined by celebrity and GR Fest racer Ryan Agoncillo. Additionally, online sensations Macoy Dubs and Genesis Redido, cyclist Ezra Domingo, and sportscaster Apple David will showcase their racing prowess.
Returning to the racetrack in the Vios Cup Autocross are Reph Bangsil and model Arianne Bautista, along with beauty queens Carla Lizardo and Megan Young, adding a touch of glamour to the lineup. Seasoned Autocross champion Migy Romulo brings his expertise, while fan favorites Benedict Cua, Bianca Yao, and Lexi Mendiola complete this incredible ensemble.
Spectators will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of Toyota Motor Philippines’ GR lineup, featuring the GR Supra and GR Yaris. Exciting surprises await the audience as TMP presents an exclusive look at the New Generation Tamaraw Concept, which will be on display and serve as the pace car for this leg. Adding to the adrenaline rush, the Altis GR-S HEV race car will join the Circuit Race and Autocross Challenge.
