Victory Rush: Toyota GAZOO Racing Vios Cup 2023 Season Finale Highlights

The roaring symphony of race car engines and thunderous applause marked the grand finale of this season’s racing spectacle as Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) officially crowned the champions of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) Vios Cup.

The thrilling conclusion for 2023 unfolded at the Clark International Speedway, where this season’s drivers treated motorsport enthusiasts to an exhilarating finale, highlighted by the debut of the TGR Vios Cup Grand Prix.

Competitors seized their final opportunity to ignite their adrenaline alongside the spectators’ fervor. Among them were TGR veterans Troy Montero and Enzo Pineda, accompanied by this season’s celebrity newcomer Ryan Agoncillo for the Circuit Championship. The roster also featured personalities like beauty queens Carla Lizardo and Megan Young, along with fan-favorites Macoy Dubs, Benedict Cua, Bianca Yao, and Lexi Mendiola, all returning for the Autocross Challenge.

Across the three classes—Promotional, Sporting, and Super Sporting—participating racers in the Circuit Championship left no stone unturned, delivering a captivating spectacle for the audience. Paolo Ayo (Race 7) and Alain Alzona (Race 8) showcased dominance in the Promotional class. In the Sporting class, Bern Corpino (Race 7) and Mikey Keilani Jordan (Race 8) emerged victorious, while John Dizon claimed the top spot in the Super Sporting class in both races 7 and 8. These champions had already displayed remarkable racing prowess in earlier legs of the Vios Cup 2023, but it was during the finals that their expertise shone brightest, earning them well-deserved recognition.

Fresh faces in the Grand Prix for Circuit Championship injected electrifying moments into the race. Alain Alzona, Darrell Garbes, and Royce Sarmiento triumphed in the Promotional, Sporting, and Super Sporting classes, affirming their natural affinity for the speedway. The same intensity fans adored from previous races continued as all participants elevated racing battles with their fierce determination and professionalism on the track.

Witnessing all OMR cars in one grid battling it out was a delight for motorsport and Vios Cup enthusiasts alike. The pit stop action amplified the excitement, captivating the audience from the tracks to the grandstand.

In the Autocross Challenge, contenders like Apple David, Arianne Bautista, Migy Romulo, Reph Bangsil, Genesis Redido, and Ezra Domingo spurred on by the crowd competed fiercely. At the race’s gripping culmination, Patricia Tenorio, Ezra Domingo, John Rey San Diego, and Carla Lizardo emerged as champions in the Promotional Media and Influencer Classes and Sporting Media and Influencer Classes, respectively.
