In a heartwarming moment on the set of the upcoming historical biopic “Quezon” last Saturday, April 26, actor TJ Trinidad made a surprise visit and reconnected with lead star Jericho Rosales. The two shared a warm hug and exchanged words of encouragement, highlighting the camaraderie behind the scenes of the much-anticipated film.

Trinidad, who briefly portrayed President Manuel L. Quezon in the final scene of “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral,” had originally been considered to reprise the role. However, due to personal commitments, he stepped away from the project. Earlier this year, TBA Studios—the acclaimed production house behind “Heneral Luna” and “Goyo”—announced that Jericho Rosales would take on the iconic role of Quezon in their latest epic.
Despite stepping down from the part, Trinidad continues to champion the film. He extended his full support to Rosales and also to actor Benjamin Alves, who portrayed the younger Quezon in both “Heneral Luna” and “Goyo.”
Production for “Quezon” is currently underway, with TBA Studios aiming for a theatrical release both locally and internationally later this year.
