TCL, the world’s No. 1 brand in global air conditioner sales, a Triple Global Top 1 TV brand, and the No. 1 Panel TV brand in the Philippines, has taken a significant step toward advancing technical education in the country with the launch of its first-ever Air Conditioning Training Program, in collaboration with the TESDA Regional Training Center–NCR (RTC–NCR).

The partnership marks a powerful commitment by TCL Philippines to nurture local talent and develop a highly skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of the modern air conditioning and HVAC industry. The newly inaugurated TCL–TESDA Center in Taguig City will serve as a hands-on training hub designed to equip trainees with practical, industry-level expertise that ensures real-world readiness.
Building Future-Ready Filipino Talent
This initiative reinforces TCL’s mission to empower aspiring Filipino technicians by providing them with in-depth, hands-on training using professional-grade tools and technologies. The program’s approach goes beyond theory, immersing trainees in real-world applications of air conditioning repair, maintenance, and installation — a crucial foundation for future careers in HVAC technology.
“This marks a special milestone for us — the very first batch of the TCL–TESDA Training Program. It’s a huge privilege to officially welcome our pioneer trainees,” said Joseph Cernitchez, Brand Manager of TCL Philippines. “Our goal is to empower a new generation of highly skilled workers and help open doors to employment through TCL’s authorized service centers, where they can apply their expertise and thrive in their chosen careers.”
TESDA and TCL: A Partnership for Progress
For TESDA, the partnership represents an important advancement in technical education and workforce development. “Today marks a significant milestone not only for TCL and TESDA but especially for our trainees who are embarking on a journey that combines knowledge, skills, and future-ready opportunities,” said Eugene P. Agcaoili, Center Administrator of TESDA RTC–NCR.
“TCL, as an industry partner, is opening direct pathways to employment through its service network, making this program a model for industry-academe collaboration.”

The inaugural batch consisted of 25 motivated trainees who completed a one-day training at the newly opened TCL–TESDA Center. The comprehensive module covered air conditioning installation, repair, and maintenance, led by experts from TCL’s Product and Service teams. These trainers shared their specialized knowledge and practical insights into real-world HVAC systems, ensuring the participants received valuable, hands-on experience.
Learning from Innovation Leaders
The training went beyond technical fundamentals. Trainees explored TCL’s latest air conditioning technologies, including the innovative FreshIN and VoxIN systems, which deliver improved air quality and smart performance. Participants also received guided training on TCL’s smart connectivity features such as Voice Command integration and the TCL Home App, demonstrating how intelligent design and technology enhance the modern customer experience.

Building Careers, Strengthening Communities
At the culmination ceremony, each trainee was awarded a Certificate of Completion, signifying their readiness to pursue professional opportunities within TCL’s growing network of authorized and partner service centers. Their new skills and certifications represent more than just credentials — they symbolize the beginning of sustainable career pathways within one of the country’s most vital industries.
“This collaboration is more than a training initiative; it’s a statement of shared purpose,” said Vincent Tobias, Assistant Product Manager for Air Conditioner at TCL Philippines. “Together with TESDA, we aim to build a future-proof Filipino workforce, one that’s equipped not just for today’s market needs but also for the innovations of tomorrow.”

A Shared Vision for a Skilled Future
Through the TCL–TESDA Air Conditioning Training Program, TCL reaffirms its commitment to nation-building through education, innovation, and empowerment. By investing in Filipino talent, the company contributes directly to the country’s goal of creating a globally competitive, highly skilled technical workforce — one capable of powering the future of air conditioning and sustainable technology.
With this partnership, TCL continues to strengthen its role not only as a leader in consumer technology but also as a key enabler of progress and opportunity for the next generation of Filipino professionals.
