Solaire Resort Entertainment City, in partnership with German Club Manila, hosted an exclusive press conference and media preview featuring esteemed German dignitaries and select media guests for an early look at its most anticipated annual celebration—Oktoberfest 2026.
Recognized as Manila’s only authentic Oktoberfest and one of the most celebrated Bavarian festivals outside Germany, the event highlights the strengthening cultural ties between the Philippines and Germany through shared traditions, hospitality, and festive celebration.
Set against the breathtaking golden-hour backdrop of Manila Bay, the Pool Bar and Grill was transformed into a vibrant Bavarian-inspired setting—offering guests a preview of Munich’s famed Wiesn experience infused with Solaire’s signature Filipino warmth, world-class service, and culinary excellence.

The program opened with remarks from Eric M. Gottschalk, President of the German Club Manila, and His Excellency Dr. Andreas Pfaffernoschke, German Ambassador to the Philippines. They were joined by distinguished messages from Dominik Krause, Mayor of Munich, Dr. Jörg Lehmann, CEO of Hofbräuhaus, and Dr. Christian Scharpf, Head of the Munich Chamber of Commerce. Representing Solaire Resort Entertainment City, Vice President for Food & Beverage and Culinary, Sebastian Kellerhoff, shared insights into this year’s festival direction and culinary experience.

A ceremonial toast officially launched the Oktoberfest season, followed by a lively rendition of the iconic Fliegerlied dance—bringing the playful spirit of Munich’s Wiesn to Manila Bay. As daylight faded into evening, the atmosphere shifted into an elegant sundowner, where guests enjoyed Bavarian-inspired bites, signature pours, and engaging conversations framed by poolside lights and sweeping waterfront views.

Through this annual celebration, Solaire Resort Entertainment City and German Club Manila continue to serve as a cultural bridge between Munich and Manila—honoring heritage, craftsmanship, and the joy of communal celebration that unites both nations.
The festivities continue at the Solaire Grand Ballroom on October 8, 9, and 10, 2026, for the main Oktoberfest celebration. Guests can look forward to three nights of authentic Bavarian culture featuring traditional German cuisine, live performances by Bavarian Sound Express, and unlimited free-flowing Hofbräu beers flown in directly from Munich.

The culinary spread showcases Wiesn classics such as German sausages, artisanal cold cuts and cheeses, hearty schnitzel, and indulgent apfelstrudel—all set within a lively beer hall atmosphere filled with music, dancing, and festive cheer.
Early bird tickets are available from June 1 to July 31, 2026. Guests are encouraged to gather friends, colleagues, and fellow enthusiasts for Manila’s biggest and most authentic Oktoberfest celebration.
