Skyro Wins Asian Consumer Service Innovation Award 2026

Skyro, an SEC-registered fintech company, has added another prestigious accolade to its growing list of achievements after winning the Philippines Consumer Service Innovation of the Year – Financial Technology award at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2026.

Held on October 20 in Singapore, the awards ceremony recognized organizations across Asia for developing innovative solutions that deliver measurable results, address critical challenges, and create meaningful progress across various industries.

Skyro received the recognition for Flexi, an innovative add-on service designed to give Filipinos greater flexibility and control over their loan repayments as their financial circumstances change. Available directly through the Skyro app, Flexi allows customers to adjust their monthly payment amounts or due dates in just a few taps.

While some lenders require customers to contact customer support or submit formal requests to modify their repayment arrangements, Skyro Flexi provides a more convenient self-service alternative. Powered by an automated system, the feature eliminates the need for paperwork, manual verification, or even an explanation for the requested adjustment.

Flexi has become a valuable tool for customers navigating unexpected financial challenges, including delayed salaries, reduced income, and family emergencies. In one instance, a customer used the service to extend his payment period after his wife gave birth prematurely. This allowed him to prioritize his child’s medical needs without having to take out another loan.

The service’s adoption and customer feedback further demonstrate its impact. Approximately 40% of Skyro’s customer base has activated Flexi, with 60% of those customers using it to make repayment adjustments. Customer satisfaction has also been encouraging, with 87% of customer satisfaction surveys and app reviews mentioning Flexi reflecting positive sentiment.

For Dmitriy Vavulidi, Skyro Head of Product, the award underscores the importance of challenging conventional lending practices and developing solutions that respond to customers’ changing needs.

“When we developed Skyro Flexi, we wanted to challenge the idea that customers should always have to follow a fixed repayment schedule, even when their circumstances change,” said Dmitriy. “Behind these features is a lot of product and technology work. But for us, the real innovation is making that flexibility simple, accessible, and useful for customers.”

Meanwhile, Ira Franco, Skyro COO, emphasized the company’s commitment to creating financial services that put customers first.
