Kicks off national multi-city training tour in partnership with LGUs, starting in Mandaluyong and completing the first 10 stops by December 2025
Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Brazil, kicked off its 2025 Tatak Pinoy MSME Training Roadshow — a nationwide push to equip more Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the digital skills to succeed online. Launched today in Mandaluyong in partnership with local government units and national agencies, the multi-city roadshow will complete its first 10 stops by December 2025, underscoring Shopee’s decade-long commitment to local business growth through e-commerce.

From celebration to capacity-building
Now in its fifth year, Tatak Pinoy has evolved from a campaign that celebrated Filipino sellers into a full-blown development program focused on long-term MSME resilience. Through initiatives like Tatak Pinoy International, Shopee has supported hundreds of thousands of local sellers and helped millions of Filipino-made products reach buyers overseas — proof that digitalization can translate into real economic lift for communities.
“Since day one, we’ve been committed to helping Filipino MSMEs succeed through technology,” said Jack Ng, Head of Commercial, Shopee Philippines. “We’re building on that momentum by working hand-in-hand with LGUs to bring training and support to more communities, so even more MSMEs can grow and thrive online.”

A milestone year for Shopee Philippines
This year marks Shopee’s 10th year in the Philippines — a decade that includes nearly 100,000 hours invested in training and upskilling local entrepreneurs. The roadshow reinforces Shopee’s mission: to open practical, accessible pathways for inclusive digital growth across the country.
Launch city: Mandaluyong leads the way
The roadshow’s opening event in Mandaluyong drew nearly 200 local MSMEs. As Shopee’s Philippine home base, Mandaluyong’s business-friendly environment and active public-private partnerships made it a natural launch partner.
“We’re proud Mandaluyong is the launch city for Shopee’s Tatak Pinoy MSME Roadshow,” said Mayor Carmelita “Menchie” Abalos. “Partnering with Shopee allows us to bring critical training right to our communities and ensure more local sellers can thrive online.”

Councilor Charisse Abalos added, “Our small business owners are the backbone of Mandaluyong’s economy. Shopee’s Tatak Pinoy brings training and support where sellers are most comfortable: in their own communities.”

Practical training, real results
The roadshow’s modular curriculum covers the full e-commerce journey — from onboarding and product listing basics to advanced topics like digital marketing, data analytics, logistics, and cross-border selling. Designed for entrepreneurs at every stage, the sessions focus on hands-on, immediately applicable skills that help MSMEs scale sustainably online.
“We believe lasting progress for Filipino MSMEs is built on consistent, strategic partnerships with LGUs and local communities,” said Ng. “Our commitment goes beyond the roadshow itself; it’s about creating long-term, institutionalized support that empowers entrepreneurs at every stage.”
Partners powering the ecosystem
Shopee also tapped its ecosystem partners to deliver targeted, practical sessions. In Mandaluyong, logistics partner SPX Express and fintech partner Monee led focused workshops on shipping and financial management — two pillars of sustainable online selling.
“Strategic collaboration among government, industry, and communities is essential for meaningful, long-term progress,” said Atty. Eryl Royce R. Nagtalon, Officer-in-Charge, Department of Trade and Industry – E-Commerce Bureau. “Shopee’s Tatak Pinoy campaign exemplifies private sector leadership that complements our national efforts to promote inclusive digital development.”
One city at a time
The roadshow will visit cities including San Juan, Pasig, Calbayog, Catbalogan, Quezon City, Calamba, Naga, Meycauayan, and Guiguinto — with more stops planned across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Each visit aims to leave behind not just knowledge, but deeper partnerships and practical support systems that help MSMEs thrive in a digital economy.
By combining technology, training, and local collaboration, Shopee’s 2025 Tatak Pinoy MSME Training Roadshow seeks to unlock new opportunities for Filipino entrepreneurs — one city at a time.
