Four weeks into the Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC 2026), the tournament’s viewership landscape is beginning to take shape. The MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026 has emerged as the event’s biggest audience draw so far, while Team Falcons leads all participating clubs in cumulative watch time. Meanwhile, mobile esports continue to dominate the tournament’s broadcast channel rankings.

With three weeks of competition still to go, Esports Charts examines the games, organizations, and channels driving EWC 2026 viewership and the contenders that could still reshape the rankings before the tournament concludes.
MLBB leads the field as viewership gains spread across the schedule
The MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026 is the clear audience leader after four weeks of EWC 2026, reaching a peak of more than 2.89 million viewers. While the figure falls slightly short of the 2025 edition’s peak, no other completed EWC 2026 tournament has matched its audience so far.

Interestingly, the tournament’s highest viewership came during the opening playoff-round matchup between ONIC and Aurora Gaming, rather than the seven-game Grand Final between Team Spirit and Yangon Galacticos.
While MLBB remains the tournament’s biggest audience driver, some of the strongest year-over-year gains have come from other titles. The League of Legends tournament recorded a 31% increase in Hours Watched and a 22% rise in Peak Viewers compared with EWC 2025.

Free Fire, Overwatch, and Apex Legends also established new highs within their respective EWC tournament series. Meanwhile, Dota 2 and Valorant finished below their 2025 Peak Viewers totals.
The competition for the next major audience milestone remains open. Counter-Strike and PUBG Mobile are currently the strongest remaining candidates to surpass one million Peak Viewers, and their upcoming results could significantly alter the overall tournament rankings before EWC 2026 comes to a close.
Team Falcons turns multi-title participation into a watch-time advantage
Team Falcons has established a substantial lead among EWC 2026 clubs, recording more than 33 million Hours Watched across its tournament appearances.
The figure reflects both the popularity of its individual rosters and the organization’s unusually broad participation across the EWC schedule. The MLBB Mid Season Cup alone contributed nearly 11 million Hours Watched to Falcons’ overall total.

Team Vitality currently ranks second with 18.6 million Hours Watched, narrowly ahead of Aurora Gaming, which has accumulated 17.9 million.
Unlike Team Falcons’ broad, multi-title performance, however, much of Team Vitality and Aurora Gaming’s watch time has been concentrated in specific competitions, with Free Fire and PUBG: Battlegrounds accounting for much of their respective totals.
Mobile esports dominate EWC’s broadcast channel rankings
Mobile esports are also making their presence felt across EWC 2026’s top broadcast channels, with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang coverage occupying the top two positions.
The MPL Indonesia YouTube channel currently leads the ranking with 5.6 million Hours Watched across the men’s and women’s tournaments. Its TikTok account generated an almost identical total, further highlighting the significant role of short-form and mobile-first platforms in esports viewership.

Official tournament channels dominate the upper portion of the ranking, but community casting continues to contribute significant audiences.
League of Legends community caster Marc “Caedrel” Lamont is currently the leading community broadcaster, generating 3.5 million Hours Watched during the League of Legends tournament won by Dplus KIA.
MLBB coverage across YouTube and TikTok currently accounts for most of the top 10 positions, giving mobile esports an outsized presence in the channel rankings. That balance could change as the tournament progresses, however, with Counter-Strike 2 expected to strengthen Twitch’s representation later in August.
Three weeks remain to reshape the EWC 2026 viewership picture
The current leaders are far from guaranteed to finish on top. With three weeks of competition still remaining, Counter-Strike 2, PUBG Mobile, Rocket League, Chess, and the other upcoming tournaments could significantly change the game, club, and channel rankings.
