On February 7, 2026, Kusina ni Mama Sita brought the flavors of Filipino heritage to life at Pasinaya 2026, staging a vibrant live cooking demonstration at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex. Held at Pandayan A, the session featured two beloved dishes—Pansit Palabok and Bibingkrep—before an audience of art students, cultural workers, and festivalgoers eager to experience culture through cuisine.

Recognized as the Philippines’ largest annual multi-arts festival, Pasinaya gathers creatives and enthusiasts across music, theater, dance, visual arts, film, and literature. As part of the festival’s Palihan Program—an interactive open-house series spotlighting diverse art forms—Mama Sita’s delivered the only culinary arts segment of the celebration, underscoring food as a powerful expression of identity, storytelling, and shared tradition.

The spotlight shone on Pansit Palabok, a savory noodle dish layered with rich shrimp sauce and classic toppings, alongside Bibingkrep, a contemporary take on the well-loved bibingka. Together, the dishes highlighted the depth, adaptability, and enduring appeal of Filipino flavors.

More than a cooking demo, the presentation reaffirmed the vital role of culinary arts in preserving and promoting Philippine heritage—proving that food, like any art form, connects communities and carries culture forward for the world to savor.
