Honoring a Legacy of Craftsmanship

Orient’s diver-inspired watches have been a key part of the brand’s legacy since the 1960s. First launched in 2004, the Orient Mako has become a fan favorite around the globe, admired for its vibrant dial options and fine attention to detail.

As Orient marks its 75th year in 2025, the brand commemorates the milestone with limited-edition Mako models, each offered in 6,000 pieces for the Mako and Mako 40, and 1,000 pieces for the chronograph-equipped Mako variant.

Bright Dials, Sunny Inspiration

These anniversary editions exude the feeling of a sunlit day by the sea. Each model features a vivid sky-blue dial with a sunburst texture, paired with second hands inspired by rays of sunlight. The chronograph version carries this motif to the chronograph seconds hand. A vintage cursive Orient logo from the 1950s adds a nostalgic touch, reinforcing the heritage appeal.

Each case is equipped with a screw-down crown and case back, offering 20-bar water resistance, and is engraved with the words:
“Orient Since 1950 – 75th Anniversary” along with a unique serial number.

Practical Power and Elegant Form

The Orient Mako (41.8 mm) and Mako 40 (39.9 mm) are powered by Orient’s reliable in-house automatic movements, offering hand-winding capability, over 40 hours of power reserve, and dependable accuracy for daily use. These watches strike a perfect balance between durability and sophistication, making them ideal for both everyday wear and outdoor adventures.

The chronograph model features a solar-powered movement, ensuring practical convenience by converting light into energy—ideal for frequent stopwatch use in active lifestyles.

Fresh Colors for a Modern Classic

Alongside the commemorative editions, Orient also debuts new Mako 40 models in bold, stylish colors: vibrant red, forest green, and sleek grey. The red and green variants feature silver-tone rotating bezels and yellow-tipped second hands for added flair. The green and grey models are paired with newly designed silicone straps with embossed texture, blending comfort with a contemporary aesthetic.

The Mako 40 models are packed with premium features, including sapphire crystal glass, 20-bar water resistance, robust SUS316L stainless steel bracelets, and Orient’s in-house calibre F6722 movement, known for its precision and reliability.

From heritage-inspired designs to modern innovations, Orient’s latest Mako and Mako 40 releases reflect 75 years of excellence in watchmaking—bringing together performance, elegance, and history in every timepiece.
