Visionary filmmaker James Cameron brings audiences back to the awe-inspiring world of Pandora as the Avatar saga returns to Philippine cinemas with an all-new, fiery chapter. “Avatar: Fire and Ash” is now showing nationwide, delivering another immersive cinematic experience that blends spectacle, emotion, and environmental reflection.

An Avatar-inspired installation made in partnership with Filipino contemporary artist, Leeroy New makes its way to the MOA Sky until January 4, 2026

This latest installment follows the Sully family as they navigate grief, acceptance, and redemption in the wake of profound loss. As they struggle to move forward after the death of their eldest son, Neteyam, they are confronted by a formidable new fiery clan—while the ongoing threat of the RDA looms larger than ever.

A Philippine Premiere Fueled by Art and Culture

To mark the Philippine premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash on December 12, 20th Century Studios Philippines unveiled a striking art installation in collaboration with acclaimed Filipino contemporary artist Leeroy New.

Inspired by the Mangkwan Clan’s vivid color palette and sharp architectural forms, the installation is interwoven with a distinctly Filipino element—the balangay, a precolonial seafaring vessel symbolizing exploration, resilience, and communal strength. True to New’s signature style, the piece features a metal framework accented with painted bamboo and rattan weaving, combined with repurposed industrial materials and found objects.

Through the fusion of natural and reclaimed elements, the installation reflects humanity’s evolving relationship with the environment and underscores the shared responsibility to protect it. The artwork is on display at 3F MOA Sky, SM Mall of Asia, until January 4, 2026, inviting moviegoers and art enthusiasts alike to experience Pandora through a uniquely Filipino lens.

A New Fire Rises in Pandora
