In a milestone move to showcase its economic strength, Moldova has launched its first-ever official ranking of top exporters. The index spotlights 25 outstanding companies spanning 12 different industries, recognizing their success in global markets, drive for innovation, and significant impact on boosting the nation’s commercial reputation abroad.

Reaching a collective total of 50 international markets, the companies chosen for the Top Exporters initiative showcase how rapidly Moldova’s trade footprint is evolving. While traditional agri-food goods remain vital, the country’s export economy is shifting toward higher-value sectors like technology, engineering, healthcare, finance, professional services, education, and creative industries.
Run by the Invest Moldova Agency, the initiative aims to spotlight companies excelling in global trade while enhancing the country’s reputation as a competitive provider of high-quality goods, services, and commercial expertise.
Dominating the line-up, the food and beverage industry claims the highest share with seven featured businesses. Proving the diversity of the ranking, the Top 25 also spotlights three firms in industrial manufacturing and engineering, alongside three in tech, electronics, and telecom. The healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors take two spots, matched by two in textiles and fashion, and another two in media, entertainment, and creative fields. Additional slots are held by standout players in agriculture, finance, cosmetics, education, tourism, and professional services.
To narrow down the final list, organizers meticulously vetted more than 1,300 exporters using official figures from the National Bureau of Statistics, the Moldovan Customs Service, and additional public records. A preliminary review narrowed the field down to 115 qualifying organizations. From there, an independent Selection Committee — comprising experts from 12 separate public institutions and private sector trade groups — stepped in to thoroughly review the final applications and choose the winners.

“Through the Top Exporters from Moldova programme, we recognise companies that naturally become ambassadors of Moldova’s export offering. These are businesses that not only achieve strong results on international markets, but also contribute to strengthening Moldova’s image and building confidence in our country brand.
Their products and services reach 50 international markets, demonstrating the competitiveness and potential of Moldova’s economy. At the same time, their success creates new opportunities for other Moldovan companies by facilitating access to markets where Moldova’s business capabilities are already recognised.”
To maximize their achievements, the winning businesses will be integrated into a comprehensive global and national promotion campaign. Coordinated by the Invest Moldova Agency, this support package grants them prime visibility via the Top Exporters digital portal, features in the official Exporters Book, multimedia content creation, and targeted outreach initiatives.
The 25 selected enterprises will receive official honors at the upcoming Export Forum on October 1, 2026. The ceremony is scheduled as a central highlight of Moldova Business Week 2026, the nation’s premier international trade and investment summit.
Operating as a biennial initiative, the Top Exporters from Moldova program is run by the Invest Moldova Agency. The program is designed to pinpoint and elevate businesses showcasing exceptional global market performance, ultimately strengthening the nation’s reputation as a competitive provider of goods and services.
