iWant Originals kicks off its 2025 lineup with a smash—Love at First Spike, an eight-part coming-of-age sports romantic dramedy that hits hard with themes of identity, second chances, and the power of friendship, all set in the fast-paced world of high school volleyball.

Blending romance, comedy, and heart, the series dives into the memorable “firsts” of adolescence—first heartbreak, first victory, and first steps toward self-discovery—while tackling deeper issues like gender norms in sports, social acceptance, and the pressure faced by student-athletes.

Leading the cast are Emilio Daez of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition, Sean Tristan of Beach Bros, and PBB Otso alum Reign Parani. Together, they bring to life a story about teamwork, belonging, and growing up under the spotlight of competition and social expectations.

At the center of the story is Uno (Emilio Daez), the star basketball captain of Brixton High, whose dream future crumbles after a violent incident gets him kicked off the team. With his scholarship on the line, Uno takes a leap of faith and joins the only varsity team with an opening—the boys’ volleyball team, made up entirely of out-and-proud LGBTQIA+ athletes.

Things get even more complicated when Uno is reunited with Jared (Sean Tristan), his childhood best friend who he cut ties with after Jared came out. Now forced to play side by side, the two must confront their past and try to rebuild trust—all while saving the struggling team from being disbanded.

Adding to the tension is Farrah (Reign Parani), Jared’s cousin and captain of the girls’ volleyball team. A longtime crush of Uno’s, she steps in to help the team while harboring feelings that might just ignite a love triangle in the middle of the court.

The series also features PBB Celebrity Collab housemate River Joseph, PBB Gen 11 alumni Dylan Yturalde, Rain Celmar, and Binsoy Namoca, and PBB Otso’s Sky Quizon. Rounding out the cast are Kapamilya stars Jude Hinumdum, Lance Reblando, Bong Gonzales, Andi Abaya, Adrian Alandy, and Meryll Soriano—bringing depth and drama to every episode.

Emilio Daez shared his excitement about his breakout lead role:

“Sobrang pinaghirapan po namin ang volleyball scenes. Talagang pinaghandaan namin ang buong serye. We really gave it our all—110%. Sana magustuhan niyo po talaga ito.”

Directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal (The Panti Sisters, Gameboys), Love at First Spike headlines the relaunch of iWantTFC this June, now with a refreshed interface and smoother viewing across devices.
