Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) is celebrating 20 years of Disney magic with a year-long extravaganza like no other! The festivities began with the star-studded “20th Anniversary Magical Red Carpet Party”, an exclusive sneak peek into what’s in store for The Most Magical Party of All, officially launching on June 28.

Over 500 special guests—including top media outlets, Disney superfans, and leading content creators from the Philippines, Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and the U.S.—got a first look at the magical new entertainment, dazzling costumes, and exclusive merchandise that will define this unforgettable celebration.

✨ Mickey, Minnie, and Friends Light Up Main Street, U.S.A.

The red carpet came alive with Disney icons, including Mickey Mouse, Duffy and Friends, cast members, and performers, showing off their exclusive 20th anniversary party outfits in a spectacular fashion showcase on Main Street, U.S.A. Cast members also modeled stylish themed merchandise for fans looking to mix and match their own looks when they join the celebration this summer.

Capping off the event was an electrifying performance of the new theme song “The Most Magical Party of All,” performed live by HKDL vocalists—giving everyone a taste of the joy, music, and Disney magic to come.

🎉 An Unmissable Day-to-Night Celebration Featuring Three New Blockbuster Shows

“This milestone marks our biggest celebration yet,” said Michael Moriarty, Managing Director of HKDL. “We’re ready to welcome guests from around the world to experience immersive entertainment, magical surprises, and extraordinary moments!”

Paul Rivet, Executive Director of Entertainment, revealed the three main spectacles that will headline the anniversary party:

🌟 1. “Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle!”

This 15-minute concert-style show brings pop, dance, and color to the fore, with Mickey and Friends plus Duffy and Friends in their brand-new party outfits. Special appearances by Disney Princesses Aurora, Tiana, and Belle in never-before-seen attire will enchant audiences. Expect high-energy music, LED visuals, fog jets, cold pyro, and more!

🎊 2. “Friendtastic!” Parade – The Biggest in HKDL History

Featuring 11 show-stopping floats, over 100 performers, and appearances from 30+ Disney characters, this 30-minute parade will showcase beloved franchises like Zootopia, Big Hero 6, Encanto, Turning Red, Toy Story, and more.

Expect surprises including the HKDL debut of Red Panda Mei (Turning Red), Isabela (Encanto), and Officer Clawhauser (Zootopia), along with a live drumming Mickey and signature Hong Kong details like bauhinia flower motifs.

🌌 3. “Momentous: Party in the Night Sky!” – The Grandest Nighttime Spectacle Yet

The finale to each day, Momentous returns in its most magical version yet, featuring 3D projection mapping, drones, fountains, lasers, pyrotechnics, and more. The 30-minute show spans the Castle of Magical Dreams to Main Street, U.S.A. and features characters from classics like Sleeping Beauty, The Princess and the Frog, and many more. Watch as fairy dust reveals a glowing “2” and Mickey head above the castle—the symbol of HKDL’s 20th anniversary.
