The barkada-themed track premiered this week on Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition

Following the emotional resonance of their ballad “Tomorrow With You,” folk-pop collective Ben&Ben returns with “Saranggola”—a touching anthem that celebrates the beauty and complexity of friendship as it evolves over time.
Reflecting on the passing of youth, the pull of nostalgia, and the quiet strength of emotional bonds, “Saranggola” captures the bittersweet reality of growing apart while holding on to love and mutual respect.
“Saranggola is inspired by the ever-changing seasons among a group of friends,” the band shares. “It’s about how fleeting youth can be, and how even when change catches us off guard, we learn to embrace it. Looking back, those shared moments become treasures—precious both now and in hindsight.”
The track premiered this week in an episode of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition and is also set to appear in the deluxe edition of The Traveller Across Dimensions—due out in 2025.
Written by Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin, and co-produced with long-time collaborator Ziv, the song is a gentle return to Ben&Ben’s roots. It begins with an intimate blend of acoustic guitar and cajon, joined by the collective harmony of all nine members, before building into an uplifting, guitar-laden crescendo—perfect for barkada road trips and late-night sing-alongs.
“After working on an entire album, crafting this song felt natural,” the band shares. “Each of us brought our own emotional experiences to the table, keeping the balance between longing, warmth, and grit.”
Beyond its melody, “Saranggola” holds deep meaning for Ben&Ben. The band sees it as a symbol of their shared journey—of listening to life’s quiet signals, staying grounded, and embracing the present.
“It’s a reflection of the years we’ve spent growing together,” they add. “And a reminder to revisit where we came from—to rediscover our roots.”
Ben&Ben’s “Saranggola” is now available on all digital music platforms worldwide under Sony Music Entertainment. Fans can also catch the official visualizer premiering today at 6 PM on the band’s YouTube channel.
