Kim Ximya Drops ‘Dogma,’ Marking His First Full-Length Album in Six Years

This project is far from predictable, offering a sound that completely subverts what fans might expect to hear.

Kim Ximya’s highly anticipated second studio album, Dogma, arrived as a 10-track digital release on September 11, 2026. This marks the artist’s first full-length project in six years. To preview the music, a surprise 26-minute short film under the same title was premiered a week prior on September 4, offering a dual-sensory rollout for fans. Audiences can now stream the album and watch the full-length video across digital platforms. 

Collaborating entirely with the innovative label Sound Supply Service, Ximya ensures a distinct sonic palette across the album’s 10 songs. The project’s physical release is just as unconventional, ditching standard CDs for a pocket-sized hardware player featuring its own built-in speaker. Adding to its exclusivity, the physical device contains a different selection of music than what is available online. Fans rushed to secure the unique collectible, driving 3,500 pre-orders and causing the device to temporarily sell out at multiple outlets.

Directed by filmmaker Park Chan-kyong, the accompanying 26-minute Dogma music video serves as a visual prelude to the album. The film is a creative montage that reworks Park’s personal paintings and video productions alongside historical footage sourced from the MMCA, breathing new life into the archival materials to mirror the record’s tone.
