Star Cinema’s ‘Always Yours, Never Mine’ Expands to Global Audiences

To support the international rollout of the romantic feature, lead stars Joshua and Julia are traveling to London and Spain for exclusive European screening events and fan meet-and-greets

The highly anticipated Star Cinema film ‘Always Yours, Never Mine’ will make its nationwide theatrical debut on September 30, 2026, ahead of a wide international rollout across global cinemas.

Fans worldwide can catch the JoshLia reunion film helmed by hitmaker Cathy Garcia-Sampana starting October 22, 2026, in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Australia, and New Zealand. The theatrical run expands to the US, Canada, and Guam on October 23, 2026, before moving to Europe with premieres in the UK and Austria on October 31, 2026, and Spain, France, and Italy on November 1, 2026.

Overseas fans will also get a rare opportunity to meet the beloved JoshLia tandem live during their European promotional tour. Joshua and Julia are locking in two special screening sessions at the Genesis Cinema in London on October 31, 2026 (10:00 AM and 1:00 PM). Spanish audiences can catch them the next day, November 1, 2026, at Madrid’s Palacio de la Prensa Cinema for the 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM time slots. 

The romantic drama follows the interconnected lives of Apollo (Joshua Garcia) and Luna (Julia Barretto) over a three-decade timeline. As their paths cross at various chapters of their lives, each unexpected reunion brings a pivotal choice—with every crossroads defining their future and reshaping the lives they live apart.

Reflecting on the project, Joshua Garcia shared that the romantic drama served as a welcome breather for him, expressing his hope that the film’s narrative and characters deeply connect with moviegoers.

“Feeling ko kailangan natin ito, yung mga ganitong entertainment. Kailangan nating huminga, I think ito yung hinga natin. I hope maraming maka-relate at makasabay sa characters nina Apollo at Luna (I feel like we need this kind of entertainment. We need to take a breath and enjoy a story like this. I hope many can relate to the characters of Apollo and Luna),” he shared.

For Julia, the significance of the title lies in the bittersweet experience of offering complete devotion to someone who cannot fully reciprocate those feelings.

“[It’s about] your willingness to give your heart to somebody else who can’t give theirs back to you,” she said.
